Is it normal for vaginal discharge to be like egg white? Don't worry.

There is an old Chinese saying that it is better to treat ten men than one woman, which shows how complicated women's diseases are. Women have a special physiological structure, so when some special phenomena occur, they often panic. When vaginal discharge is like egg white, it is actually normal. It is best not to use sanitary pads when you have leucorrhea, which is more beneficial to your health.

If the leucorrhea is yellow in color, it is often a sign of reproductive tract infection, usually a bacterial infection. The color of normal leucorrhea is like egg white, clear and colorless. It is during the ovulation period.

The ovulation period is also an unsafe period. If you don't want to get pregnant, take safety precautions.

Some women will find a sticky discharge on their underwear around the 16th day of their menstrual cycle (around the 20th day for women with a menstrual cycle of up to 36 days). The discharge is very sticky and is a bit like egg white. In fact, there is no need to worry about this. This is because the increase in female hormones (estrogen) stimulates the cervical mucosal cells, causing a large increase in secretions. As ovulation approaches, the discharge is particularly clear and elastic, but becomes cloudy once ovulation is complete. These situations will change with the changes in female hormones. This is normal. This situation means that you are ovulating, so don't worry.

Normal leucorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell; its secretion amount and texture are affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, and vary periodically with the menstrual cycle, with varying amounts, textures and thicknesses. Generally, the amount of leucorrhea is less after the menstrual period; before ovulation, due to the increase in estrogen levels in the body, the epithelial cells of the cervical glands proliferate, the secretion of cervical mucus increases, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus increases, which can absorb more water, causing the leucorrhea to increase during ovulation, become thinner, clear in color, and look like egg white, and can be stretched into long threads.

Suggestions: After ovulation, estrogen levels gradually decrease, progesterone levels increase, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the content of sodium chloride in the mucus also decreases, making the leucorrhea thick, milky white, less ductile, and easy to break when drawn.
