Precautions after hysteroscopic surgery, four major matters needing attention

Hysteroscopic surgery is a relatively common surgery. There are many things that you need to pay attention to after the surgery, such as wound care, daily life, and nutritional intake. These must be paid attention to in order to recover as soon as possible.

1. Wound care: Since laparoscopic patients have a very short hospital stay, they must pay attention to whether the wound is red, swollen, hot, or painful every day after returning home to prevent infection and inflammation. However, since the wound of laparoscopic surgery is small, inflammation of the wound after surgery is quite rare.

2. Daily life : Maintaining a comfortable life and doing a little exercise will help the body recover. Patients who undergo laparoscopic fallopian tube surgery and laparoscopic ovarian surgery should also pay attention to moderate activity within one week of the surgery, which will help the body recover as soon as possible. One week after surgery, you can remove the abdominal dressing, take a shower, and gradually resume normal activities. You should be able to resume your normal daily routine two weeks after surgery.

3. Nutritional intake: Usually, patients can resume eating after they recover from laparoscopic surgery. At first, they can drink some warm water. If there is no discomfort, they can start eating liquid food and resume their normal diet the next day. Since protein is needed for wound healing, high-protein foods should be consumed to accelerate wound healing, and irritating foods should be avoided.

4. Sexual life : Generally, patients who have undergone laparoscopic surgery can resume normal sexual life after two weeks. Infertility patients, those who have undergone fallopian tube examinations and plastic surgery, sometimes in order to coordinate the time of ovulation, can have sexual intercourse after a week. However, sexual intercourse should not be too intense.
