The reasons why menstrual flow is small and dark, these factors will make menstrual flow small

Do you have a small amount of menstrual flow and dark menstrual color? Many women are troubled by their small amount of menstrual flow. If the menstrual flow is small for a long time, it will accelerate the aging of women. Common causes of small amount of menstrual flow include blood deficiency, congenital uterine hypoplasia, abnormal estrogen secretion, etc.

1. Blood deficiency leads to scanty menstruation. Blood deficiency or traumatic bleeding, postpartum hemorrhage, and postoperative bleeding can all cause blood deficiency in the body, resulting in insufficient blood and reduced menstrual volume. Kidney deficiency leads to scanty menstruation. Congenital deficiency of kidney qi and kidney essence, or excessive sexual intercourse, too many births, artificial abortions, etc. damage the kidneys, resulting in insufficient kidney qi, insufficient essence and blood, and an empty sea of blood, resulting in a decrease in menstrual volume. Blood stasis leads to heavy menstruation. If a girl catches cold during menstruation, the body is invaded by the cold evil and the blood is coagulated by the cold; or she quarrels with others or feels depressed during menstruation, which leads to qi stagnation and blood stasis; or external injuries cause blood stasis, all of which may make the menstrual blood flow poorly and cause scanty menstruation. Phlegm and dampness cause scanty menstruation. Obese women have a phlegm and dampness body type; because phlegm and dampness block the meridians, the menstrual blood flows poorly, resulting in scanty menstruation.

2 Congenital uterine hypoplasia Congenital uterine hypoplasia means the uterus is very small and deformed. Only a small amount of endometrium is shed, and then the menstrual volume is less. Congenital uterine hypoplasia is one of the reasons for scanty menstruation. Symptoms: dysmenorrhea, infertility and complications. After curettage and ablation, the endometrium will be damaged and easily cause infection. The most common reasons for less menstruation after abortion are cervical adhesion or uterine cavity adhesion, which prevents menstrual blood from being discharged smoothly. There will often be a decrease in menstrual volume, prolonged menstruation, dark purple color, or menstrual blood clots, and abnormal phenomena such as dysmenorrhea. Another common reason is that the endometrium is damaged due to too many curettages and excessive curettage operations, and the endometrium becomes thinner, resulting in a decrease in menstrual volume.

3. Abnormal hormone secretion Estrogen can stimulate the proliferation of female endometrium. If the hormone secretion in the body is abnormal, the proliferation of the endometrium will not reach the required thickness, resulting in less menstrual flow. Excessive dieting, irregular work and rest, bad mood, reproductive system diseases, etc. will affect the female endocrine environment, leading to abnormal hormone secretion and low menstrual volume.

4. Anovulatory menstruation Anovulatory menstruation is generally characterized by a menstrual cycle of less than 21 days, no mature follicles, no corpus luteum production, and no progesterone secretion. The estrogen level increases and decreases with the growth and atrophy of the follicles. When the estrogen level suddenly drops, withdrawal bleeding will occur and menstruation will appear, but the menstrual volume will be very small in this case.

5. Endometrial tuberculosis Endometrial tuberculosis is an inflammation of the endometrium caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is mostly a part of pelvic tuberculosis and also a part of systemic tuberculosis. The main source of infection is pulmonary or peritoneal tuberculosis. Endometrial tuberculosis accounts for 50-60% of genital tuberculosis, often spreading from fallopian tube tuberculosis to the uterus, and the lesions are mostly confined to the endometrium.
