What is dysmenorrhea?

There is not a single cause of dysmenorrhea, so if we want to get rid of the trouble of dysmenorrhea, we need to pay attention to understanding the cause and regulating the symptoms. People with kidney deficiency will also suffer from dysmenorrhea, so we must pay attention to tonifying the kidney and regulating qi, and pay attention to blood supplementation.

1. Kidney Qi Deficiency

Congenital kidney deficiency, or excessive sexual intercourse, frequent childbirth, or long-term illness can damage the kidney qi. Kidney deficiency leads to loss of essence and blood, insufficiency of Chong and Ren, bleeding during menstruation, and weaker uterine vessels, leading to lack of nourishment. "No nourishment leads to pain", thus causing dysmenorrhea.

2. Weak Qi and Blood

Weak constitution, insufficient Qi and blood, or serious and long-term illness, which consumes Qi and blood, or weak spleen and stomach, insufficient metabolism, Qi deficiency and blood, bleeding during menstruation, further deficiency of Chong and Ren Qi and blood, lack of nourishment to the uterine vessels, "no nourishment leads to pain", thus causing dysmenorrhea.

3. Qi stagnation and blood stasis

Depression of natural constitution, or anger hurts the liver, liver depression and qi stagnation, qi stagnation and blood stasis, or during menstruation and after childbirth, excess blood is retained in the body, which accumulates and forms blood stasis, which stagnates Chong and Ren meridians and causes blood circulation obstruction. Before and during menstruation, qi and blood flow into Chong and Ren meridians, making the qi and blood in the uterine vessels more stagnant, and "pain due to obstruction", thus causing dysmenorrhea.

4. Cold and blood stasis

During menstruation and after childbirth, if one is affected by cold evil, or eats too much cold and raw food, the cold will invade the Chong and Ren meridians and combine with the blood, causing Qi and blood to stagnate. Before and during menstruation, Qi and blood will flow into the Chong and Ren meridians, making the Qi and blood in the uterine vessels even more stagnant. "If it is blocked, there will be pain," thus causing dysmenorrhea.
