In life, everyone knows a fact, that is, women's breasts develop and grow, while men's breasts do not develop. Women's nipples are also relatively large. However, in life, many women have to see a doctor because of problems such as nipple pain. Sometimes nipple pain and enlargement occur suddenly without any warning, which brings pain to female friends and makes them worry. So what causes nipple pain and enlargement? The breast is located in the upper abdomen of the torso of mammals, and in most cases it refers specifically to the breasts of human females. For most mammals, breasts are organs that female mammals use to feed their young (even whales); for humans, developed breasts are one of the secondary sexual characteristics of females. Male mammals (including human males) have breast tissue such as mammary glands when they are young (infants), but it does not develop during growth. Breast pain during puberty: usually occurs between the ages of 9 and 13, and disappears on its own after menarche. Premenstrual breast pain: Many women experience breast fullness, hardness, and tenderness before menstruation. In severe cases, the breasts will swell and ache with a slight vibration or collision. This is due to the increase in estrogen levels in the body before menstruation, breast hyperplasia, and edema of breast tissue. After menstruation, the above changes may disappear. Breast pain during pregnancy: Some women experience breast pain around 40 days of pregnancy due to the large secretion of estrogen, progesterone, and prolactin by the placenta and villi, which causes the mammary glands to enlarge and the pain can last throughout the pregnancy. In severe cases, the pain can last for the entire pregnancy and does not require treatment. Postpartum breast pain: Breast fullness, hardening and pain often occur 3 to 7 days after delivery. This is mainly due to mammary lymph retention, venous filling and interstitial edema and blocked mammary ducts. Breast pain after artificial abortion: This is because the pregnancy is suddenly interrupted, the hormone level in the body drops suddenly, and the newly developed breasts suddenly stop growing, causing breast lumps and breast pain. Breast pain after sex: This is related to the physiological changes of the breasts during sex. For those with low libido or an unharmonious sex life, the congestion and swelling of the breasts are not easy to subside or subside incompletely due to the lack of sexual satisfaction. Continuous congestion will cause breast pain. In fact, women's nipple pain, swelling and breast enlargement are directly related to the estrogen in their bodies. This means that as women's menstrual cycles change, breast tenderness and other symptoms may occur, which is also a normal physiological phenomenon. During women's several physiological periods, such as pregnancy, menstruation, postpartum, and lactation, these are special stages during which breasts will also change. |
