How to wear contact lenses? Wear it incorrectly and be careful of blindness

In daily life, many women wear contact lenses, because it is not only convenient for seeing things, but also can avoid the dullness brought by ordinary glasses. However, although contact lenses are good, many people are not very clear about how to wear them.

How to wear contact lenses

1. Before wearing lenses each time, carefully check whether the lenses are damaged, dirty or have sediment. If it is damaged, it cannot be worn. If there are stains and sediment, they must be cleaned and rinsed before wearing.

2. Identify the front and back

It's very simple. Just place the contact lens lightly on your fingertips. If the edge is a perfect circle like a bowl, that's the front side and you can wear it. If the edge is curled outwards, that's the back side.

3. How to put glasses on your fingertips

You just need to hold the glasses with the tip of your right index finger. Then make sure the front of the glasses is facing up before you start wearing them.

4. How to bring it up

Make sure your eyes are looking forward, use the middle fingers of both hands to pull apart the upper and lower eyelids, then attach the lens to the cornea, then remove the index finger and look down to make the lens attached to the eye, and slowly relax the eyelids with the middle fingers of both hands.

5. Check whether it is worn properly

At this time, you also need to use two fingers to gently adjust the position of the contact lens so that it fits your pupil better. Then close your eyes and move your eyeballs left and right a few times to make sure that the glasses are completely in place.

6. How to remove

Before taking off your glasses, you should also start by washing your hands. Then look in the mirror and use the index and middle fingers of your left hand to pull apart your upper and lower eyelids. Don't be nervous. Use the thumb and index finger of your right hand to gently press the lens to allow air to enter between the lens and the eye, and then you can take it out.

Precautions

Experts suggest that it is best to remove contact lenses from glasses during sleep to avoid discomfort.

If a contact lens wearer experiences a slight dry feeling, photophobia, temporary near vision blur, foreign body sensation, or magnified or reduced vision, these are normal physiological reactions as long as they are not serious and last for a short time. Generally, the symptoms will disappear naturally after a short adaptation period. The specific adaptation period required depends on the quality of the lens and the individual's adaptability, and is generally a few hours to a few days. If the symptoms persist or even worsen after wearing the lenses for a week, the lenses should be removed immediately and checked by a fitter.
