Pelvic inflammatory disease is a common gynecological disease among women. This disease is very harmful to women's health, so female friends must do a good job of prevention and treatment on a daily basis. But what are the specific factors that cause pelvic inflammatory disease? 1. Formed in a special period Some ordinary women will accumulate a small amount of blood in the pelvic cavity during menstruation and ovulation, causing pelvic effusion. Pelvic effusion at this time is normal, indicating that the woman's fallopian tube is not blocked and the fallopian tube produces secretions. If the top of the fallopian tube is unobstructed, a small amount of secretions will spread to the friend, causing pelvic effusion. 3. Spread of inflammation to adjacent organs In addition to the normal pelvic effusion that occurs in women due to their physiological characteristics, pelvic effusion can also be caused by pathological pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis. The causes of pelvic inflammatory disease are often related to the patient's bad hygiene habits, such as having sexual intercourse during menstruation, within one month after childbirth, taking a bath within one month after gynecological surgery, etc. 3. Spread of inflammation to adjacent organs Women are more likely to develop pelvic inflammatory disease when they suffer from appendicitis or peritoneal inflammation. When suffering from vaginitis and cervicitis, the inflammation will spread upward and eventually lead to pelvic inflammatory disease. 4. Pathological effusion Treating pelvic effusion is actually treating pelvic inflammatory disease. At present, many doctors adopt the method of puncturing the posterior fornix to extract the accumulated fluid for treatment, which is very unscientific, because simply extracting the accumulated fluid will not only fail to cure the pelvic effusion, but will also increase the amount of fluid accumulated. Clinically, everyone knows that the cause of pelvic effusion is pelvic inflammation, and the treatment is also targeted at pelvic inflammatory disease, but the large-scale use of antibiotics or other drugs has not had an obvious therapeutic effect. The main reason for pelvic effusion is that pelvic inflammatory disease causes adhesion of local connective tissue in the pelvis, making it difficult for drugs to reach the local lesion. At the same time, pelvic inflammatory disease does not necessarily lead to the detection of specific pathogens, so the use of antibiotics is not particularly targeted and the efficacy is difficult to guarantee. 5. Multiple artificial abortions The cause of pelvic effusion may also be iatrogenic infection caused by improper disinfection during artificial abortion or induced labor, leading to pelvic effusion. It is best to perform a posterior fornix puncture examination to identify the nature of the fluid caused by pelvic inflammation. If there are chronic infection lesions, it may be an inflammation of the gynecological system such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes, or it may be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. Pelvic inflammatory disease should be treated early, otherwise it will affect fertility. 6. Inflammatory exudation in the pelvic cavity It occurs after the endometrium becomes inflamed, and the slightly viscous fluid that seeps out from the swollen cells of the endometrial tissue is gradually wrapped by the surrounding tissue to form a cystic mass. This is the cause of pelvic effusion. If left untreated, cystic masses can grow larger. If it is too large, medication cannot eliminate it and surgery is required to remove it. Pelvic effusion can be cured completely, but it can only be effectively treated after the pathogenic bacteria are identified. 7. Physiological effusion Physiological pelvic effusion often occurs after ovulation or in early pregnancy and usually disappears naturally without the need for treatment. But most pelvic effusions are caused by inflammation, that is, by exudation from chronic pelvic inflammation. There are also a few causes of pelvic effusion due to ectopic pregnancy rupture, corpus luteum rupture, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, and ovarian cancer. The cause of pelvic effusion in patients is acute or chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, which is often accompanied by lower abdominal pain (bilateral or unilateral), lumbar pain, and a history of surgical or medical abortion. The specific reason for pelvic effusion is that the serous exudate caused by inflammation cannot be absorbed by the body and slowly accumulates in the body. Pelvic effusion often occurs in lower parts of the pelvic cavity, such as the rectouterine pouch. 8. Infection after gynecological surgery Artificial abortion surgery, IUD insertion (removal) surgery, salpingography (hydration), etc., if the disinfection is not strict during the operation, it is easy to get infection after the operation. If you do not pay attention to personal hygiene after surgery, do not follow the doctor's instructions for recovery treatment, or have sexual intercourse too early after treatment, it will cause bacteria to grow and lead to pelvic infection in women. |
