How to check ovarian cysts? There are four methods

Ovarian cyst is one of the common gynecological diseases in women. This disease poses a great threat to women's health, so many patients are particularly worried when they find it, but they don’t know what specific examinations to do to refine the condition. Let’s learn how to check ovarian cysts.

1. Hormone determination

Clinically, hormone tests are sometimes performed on patients with ovarian cysts. According to ineffective statistics, about 30% of patients with ovarian cysts have elevated prolactin levels.

2. Laparoscopy

Through laparoscopic examination, it can be seen that the ovarian capsule of patients with ovarian cysts is thickened and pearly in color. About 73% of patients have an uneven surface, 80% of patients have enlarged ovaries, and there are multiple follicles under the ovarian capsule. 71% of patients have protrusions on the ovarian surface, and 64% of patients have increased blood vessels on the ovarian surface.

3. Ultrasound examination

B-ultrasound examination is one of the most important ways to examine ovarian cysts. Through B-ultrasound examination, it can be seen that both ovaries of the patient are larger than 1/4 of the normal uterus. Through B-ultrasound ovarian puncture, the purulent secretions of the patient can be checked, which indicates the acute stage of oophoritis.

4. Ovarian biopsy

Ovarian tissue biopsy showed that the ovarian capsule of the patient was thickened, about 2-5 times thicker than that of normal people, and the thickness was uneven. The patient had follicles developed to different degrees under the cortex. These follicles were about 2-6 mm in diameter, and some could reach 10 mm in diameter. The follicular membrane cells proliferated and luteinized, and there was a lack of or occasional corpus luteum or corpus albicans.
