What are contraceptive methods for women?

For couples who have just got married, they will not rush to have children in order to better experience the joy of a world of two, so they will choose some contraceptive methods during this period. However, in fact, many people do not know much about contraceptive methods, which will lead to the risk of unwanted pregnancy. If abortion surgery is used, it will cause harm to the female body, so we will introduce several contraceptive methods below.

1. Natural contraception methods include interrupting sexual intercourse and calculating the safe period.

Interrupted sexual intercourse requires the penis to be pulled out of the vagina before orgasm, which is very difficult to implement. In addition, some sperm may leak into the vagina before ejaculation. This method is extremely unreliable. Long-term use can seriously affect men's physical and mental health and cause diseases such as prostatitis. Not suitable for newlyweds.

2. Barrier measures.

Includes condoms and diaphragms (female condoms). Before using a condom, contact between the penis and the vagina must be avoided. The condom must be worn during sexual intercourse, and the penis (along with the condom) must be removed after ejaculation before it becomes flaccid. Otherwise the condom may slip into the vagina. It is recommended to check whether the condom has holes before use.

3. Hormonal contraceptive methods.

Oral contraceptives are the most popular form of birth control in the world, especially among teenagers and women in their early twenties. Combined oral contraceptives contain two hormones: estrogen and progestin. These two hormones can prevent the growth and maturation of egg cells in the ovaries, thus preventing ovulation from occurring. This means that if oral contraceptives are taken correctly, their contraceptive reliability is almost 100%, far higher than the contraceptive reliability of condoms, and is listed first among the contraceptive methods available to newlyweds.

Finally, there is another method of contraception, which is emergency contraception. However, the premise of using this method is that the above contraceptive methods have failed. The use of taboo contraceptives will cause discomfort to the body, so it should not be used unless under special circumstances. Generally, it can be used once or twice at most during the honeymoon period. Therefore, it is best for newlyweds to choose conventional contraceptive methods.
