How to treat Qi and blood deficiency

Insufficient qi and blood in the body can easily lead to a decrease in the body's immune ability. In more serious cases, dizziness and lack of energy may occur. If you do not pay attention to the regulation of qi and blood in your daily diet, it is likely to cause anemia, neurasthenia and other conditions. There are many foods that can regulate qi and blood in our lives, mainly including beef, mutton, red dates, longan, millet, etc., but the choices will be different for different human constitutions.

Blood deficiency constitution refers to a weak state caused by insufficient blood or diminished nourishing function of blood. If blood deficiency cannot nourish the body, symptoms such as dull complexion, blurred vision, numbness of the limbs, and dry skin will appear. Blood deficiency cannot be completely equated with anemia in modern medicine. People with blood deficiency often have clinical manifestations such as pale complexion, pale lips, dizziness, pale tongue, weak pulse, and women have scanty menstruation, delayed menstruation, or even amenorrhea.

Foods commonly used to replenish blood include black rice, sesame, lotus seeds, longan meat, lychee, mulberry, honey, day lily, black fungus, tomato, milk, black-bone chicken, lamb, pig's trotter, pig blood, quail eggs, turtle, sea cucumber, etc. You can also choose a medicated diet that suits you. For example, angelica, ginger and mutton soup is very effective for those suffering from blood deficiency, cold body, abdominal pain, and late menstruation. But it is not suitable for those with excessive fire.

There are many traditional Chinese medicines that have the effect of nourishing blood. Commonly used blood-enriching traditional Chinese medicines include angelica, donkey-hide gelatin, Polygonum multiflorum, wolfberry, white peony, Rehmannia glutinosa, placenta, etc. You should have a regular daily life and take appropriate exercise. Develop good habits of reading, studying and working, and avoid overworking yourself. People with blood deficiency often suffer from lack of energy, insomnia, forgetfulness, and poor concentration. We should combine work and rest, cultivate our temperament and boost our spirits.

For patients with both Qi and blood deficiency, strengthening physical exercise in daily life is also a very important means of regulating the body. Because physical exercise can accelerate blood circulation in the body, and make the meridians in the body run smoothly, which can help the growth of hemoglobin in the body and has a very good effect on regulating Qi and blood deficiency.
