What are the symptoms of patients with hemolytic anemia?

Obstructive anemia is a type of anemia, which is generally divided into congenital and acquired. Few patients with this type of anemia can recover on their own, so prompt medical treatment is necessary upon discovery. So what are the symptoms of patients with hemolytic anemia?

Internationally, aplastic anemia is divided into severe and mild types. The corresponding types in my country are acute and chronic aplastic anemia. The main clinical manifestations are anemia, bleeding and infection. There is usually no lymphadenopathy or hepatosplenomegaly.

1. Anemia: symptoms include paleness, fatigue, dizziness, palpitations and shortness of breath. Acute and severe cases tend to progressively worsen, while mild cases tend to be chronic.

2. Infection: Respiratory tract infection is the most common, followed by digestive tract, urogenital tract and skin and mucous membrane infections. The infecting bacteria are mainly Gram-negative bacilli, Staphylococci and fungi, often accompanied by sepsis. Acute and severe cases often have fever, with body temperature above 39oC. Some patients are in a state of uncontrollable high fever from the onset of illness to death. High fever is less common in mild cases than in severe cases, and the infection is relatively easy to control and rarely lasts for more than a week.

3. Bleeding: Acute and severe cases will have varying degrees of bleeding in the skin, mucous membranes and internal organs. The skin manifests as bleeding spots or large ecchymosis, the oral mucosa has blood blisters, and there are epistaxis, gingival bleeding, and conjunctival bleeding. Deep organs may suffer from vomiting blood, hemoptysis, blood in the stool, and hematuria. Women may have vaginal bleeding, followed by fundus bleeding and intracranial hemorrhage, the latter of which often endangers the patient's life. In mild cases, the bleeding tendency is mild, mainly skin and mucous membrane bleeding, and internal bleeding is rare.
