How long does it take to recover after giving birth?

Most of our mothers may feel very weak after giving birth. They may feel unable to do anything, and may also suffer from insomnia and nightmares. They should strengthen nutritional supplements as soon as possible, eat more fruits, and supplement vitamins, which are very effective. How long does it take to recover after childbirth has become a topic of particular concern to mothers.

Generally speaking, it takes about 40-60 days for the functional structure of the body's organs to return to pre-pregnancy levels, and the recovery of each organ is different. The recovery of the uterus is quite obvious. A short time after delivery, the uterus shrinks to the level of the umbilicus with the uterine fundus. It will drop 1-2 cm every day thereafter. About 10 days after delivery, the uterus shrinks back into the pelvic cavity, and the uterine body can no longer be felt in the abdomen. You can return to your pre-pregnancy state 6-8 weeks after delivery. It also takes a certain amount of time for the endometrium, that is, the detachment surface between the uterus and the placenta, to recover. After the placenta is delivered, the detachment surface immediately shrinks to 50% of its original area. With the discharge of lochia and the proliferation of new endometrium, the complete repair of the placenta attachment part will be completed in about 6 weeks after delivery. The cervix relaxes like a cuff after delivery, and returns to normal 4 weeks after delivery. But the foreign invaders are oblate in shape. If the vaginal wall and pelvic floor muscles are damaged or torn during childbirth, they can only recover slowly after delivery, about 3 weeks, but generally cannot recover completely. Therefore, some women's pelvic floor tissue and vaginal wall cannot recover, resulting in relaxation of the pelvic floor tissue and vaginal wall. This can cause uterine prolapse, vaginal wall bulging, and perineal wounds that take 4-5 days to heal, leaving only a general scar after delivery. The breasts develop rapidly after delivery. In the first 2-3 days, the breasts swell and a small amount of colostrum appears. 4 days after delivery, a large amount of milk is secreted, which lasts throughout the lactation period, and the ovarian ovulation function is restored. It takes about 10 weeks for those who are not breastfeeding and 4-6 months for those who are breastfeeding. Therefore, you should pay attention to contraception after giving birth. In addition, the cardiovascular, respiratory and urinary systems can return to normal within 2-3 weeks after delivery. In order to promote the recovery of the body, you must pay attention to rest within 40-60 days after delivery.

How long does it take to recover after childbirth? It takes about two weeks. During the recovery period, our mothers must not do too much exercise. Exercise may cause various problems to our recovered bodies. It is very beneficial to drink a glass of milk every morning and develop good eating habits.
