With the frequent occurrence of uterine fibroids in recent years, some patients have undergone hysterectomy. Hysterectomy is mainly performed on the site of the patient's lesions. Although the operation is not particularly difficult, post-operative maintenance is still very important. This is not only related to the patient's physical recovery, but also can greatly reduce the recurrence of patients. Under normal circumstances, a hysterectomy should be completed, and blood pressure, pulse, and respiration should be observed every hour, paying attention to the presence of bleeding, the nature and amount of various drainages. After stabilization for 6 hours, observation should be made every 4 hours. Elderly patients often have multiple organ diseases, and changes in their condition are often hidden and sudden. Some symptoms are not typical clinically, so sufficient understanding should be maintained during nursing. If drowsiness, mental fatigue, low fever, and confusion occur, complications such as pneumonia, cardiovascular disease, and cerebral ischemia should be considered. To prevent postoperative cardiovascular, cerebropulmonary complications, low-flow oxygen is often used after surgery. To prevent water and electrolyte imbalance, the intake and output must be carefully recorded. Precautions after hysterectomy also include: the catheter is usually left in place for 3 to 5 days after surgery, and the condition requires about 10 days. During the period of retaining the catheter, the patient should be encouraged to drink plenty of water to keep it unobstructed, clean the urethral opening with cotton pads every day, and apply <Drug Name Omitted> ointment to the urethral opening and catheter to reduce the chance of urinary tract infection. Before removing the catheter, the catheter needs to be clamped and opened regularly (once every 4 hours for 2 days) to restore bladder function. Six hours after the catheter is removed for radical hysterectomy, the residual urine is measured after urination. If the residual urine exceeds 100 ml, it should be maintained for 3 days and then the residual urine should be measured again. Repeat this process until the residual urine is less than 100 ml. If patients want to achieve satisfactory treatment results after hysterectomy, they must pay attention to the precautions after hysterectomy so as to do a good job of various nursing work. Experts tell us that after a hysterectomy, patients should pay special attention to dietary conditioning. Since the operation will have a certain impact on the patient's gastrointestinal function, usually only some liquid food can be eaten within 24 hours after the operation. During the recovery process, attention should also be paid to the diet. It should be mainly high-protein, low-fat food, and try to be nutritious and light. |
