Pictures of cervical erosion and leucorrhea

Cervical erosion is a gynecological disease and is also a disease that most married women suffer from to varying degrees. Cervical erosion can be divided into three types based on pathological level: mild, moderate and severe. The difference between these three types, as the secretions of female secretions, can be used to distinguish some disease levels. So, what are the cervical erosion secretions?

What are the cervical erosion secretions?

In mild or mild-to-moderate cases, cervical erosion is generally manifested by excessive vaginal discharge, yellowish color, thick vaginal discharge, or a small amount of blood mixed in the discharge. The spread of inflammation may cause vulvar itching, bleeding during sexual intercourse, pain, etc. Moderate to severe cervical erosion usually has a large inflamed area, the discharge will be thick, very thick, the amount of discharge is relatively large, or there may be bloody leucorrhea.

Cervical disease is the disease that is most easily overlooked by female friends. Because the cervix does not have direct pain nerves, even if inflammation or erosion has occurred, female patients will not experience pain or discomfort symptoms. The disease can only be discovered from secretions or gynecological examinations. Therefore, annual routine gynecological examinations are very important.

If a woman who is preparing to get pregnant has moderate to severe cervical erosion and the discomfort symptoms are not obvious, she can prepare for pregnancy and generally does not need treatment. However, moderate to severe erosions need to be eliminated and need to be treated in a reliable hospital outpatient clinic to recover as soon as possible before becoming pregnant again.

Does cervical erosion affect pregnancy?

If it is just simple cervical erosion, without irregular bleeding, abnormal leucorrhea, lower abdominal pain and other uncomfortable symptoms, and the cervical cytology examination is normal, you can get pregnant. Even if patients with cervical erosion have mild inflammation, it will not affect pregnancy, so women with mild cervical erosion can have children.

If patients with cervical erosion are accompanied by inflammation, such as leucorrhea in the cervix, and infection with bacteria such as mycoplasma or chlamydia, the cervical mucus will become thicker and contain a large number of white blood cells, which will be detrimental to the activity and penetration of sperm and affect pregnancy. Therefore, women with severe cervical erosion cannot have children. They need to actively treat cervical erosion and try to get pregnant again after the cervical inflammation symptoms improve. Otherwise, pathogens will spread along the cervix during pregnancy and may cause complications such as placental abruption.
