Why does the vulva itch and have a strange smell?

As a woman, her body is never as healthy as that of a man, and she always has more major and minor problems than men. For example, if the vulva is itchy and has an odor, women are always shy and dare not tell others about their condition. So what causes itchy and smelly vulva? Today I will tell you the causes and treatments of vulvar itching and odor.

Vulvar itching and vaginal itching with odor are common symptoms in women. There are many causes of vulvar itching and vulvar pruritus, such as Trichomonas, scabies, fungi and bacteria. If the cause is clear, the disease can usually be cured after symptomatic treatment. However, women should be vigilant for those vulvar itching and genital itching that persist for a long time and recur frequently. They should go to the hospital as soon as possible to find out the cause and receive symptomatic treatment.

1. Fungal vaginitis: Fungal vaginitis may cause odor in the lower body. The most common symptom of this disease is vulvar itching. When the inflammation is severe, frequent urination, painful urination and pain may also occur. If the odor in the lower body is caused by typical candidal vaginitis, the leucorrhea may appear to be tofu dregs or curd-like.

2. Trichomonas vaginitis: Itching of the vulva and vagina, foamy leucorrhea, often accompanied by a special odor, and eczematous changes in the vulva after scratching. A vaginal smear test can be used to distinguish it from the above conditions.

3. Chronic cervicitis: Increased vaginal discharge is the most common symptom of cervicitis, and sometimes the only symptom of chronic cervicitis. Leucorrhea often manifests as pathological leucorrhea, such as viscosity and purulent. Sometimes the secretions may contain blood or a small amount of blood, and there may also be contact bleeding. Vulvar itching may be caused by irritation from leucorrhea.

4. Genital warts: mostly occur in the female vaginal wall, cervical opening and vulva, and may also cause foul-smelling leucorrhea. Molluscum contagiosum occurring in the vulva is mostly manifested as a round papule with an umbilical-like depression in the center, and may also cause itching in the vulva. Genital herpes is often manifested by the appearance of bright, rice-sized blisters on the urethral opening and vaginal wall, accompanied by local itching.

It seems that vulvar itching and odor can be divided into many symptoms. However, after reading the above, do you have a better understanding of your own symptoms? Have you found the answer to the question you are too embarrassed to talk to others about? I hope the above answer to the question of why the vulva itches and has an odor can help you.
