Is it possible to get pregnant with moderate cervical erosion? Why?

Children are the future of a family. A family is complete only because of its children. But not everyone can easily conceive. There are many couples around us who divorce because of having no children, especially in rural areas. Having no offspring is the greatest misfortune left by our ancestors. There are actually many factors that can cause infertility. Today, I will introduce what to do if moderate cervical erosion causes infertility.

1. Pathological cervical erosion: The eroded surface is covered by a complete single layer of cervical columnar epithelium. Due to the low resistance of the cervical columnar epithelium, pathogens can easily invade and cause inflammation. In the early stage of inflammation, the erosion surface is only covered by a single layer of columnar epithelium, and the surface is flat, which is called simple erosion; subsequently, due to excessive proliferation of glandular epithelium and accompanied by stromal hyperplasia, the erosion surface becomes uneven and granular, which is called granular erosion; when the stromal hyperplasia is significant, the surface unevenness becomes more obvious and papillary, which is called papillary erosion.

2. Physiological cervical erosion: Another situation occurs in young girls or unmarried women, where the cervix is sometimes red, granular, and resembles erosion. But in fact there is no obvious inflammation. It is caused by the outward migration of the columnar epithelium of the cervical canal and is not pathological cervical erosion.

Does cervical erosion affect pregnancy?

Cervical erosion-like changes are a normal physiological phenomenon. As long as there are no uncomfortable symptoms such as contact bleeding, abnormal leucorrhea, lower abdominal distension, etc., and the cervical cytology examination is normal, it will not affect fertility. Even if patients with cervical erosion-like changes have mild inflammation, it will not affect conception.

If cervical erosion-like changes are accompanied by inflammation, such as local purulent leucorrhea in the cervix, and infection with pathogens such as chlamydia or gonococci, the cervical mucus will become thick and contain a large number of white blood cells, which will be detrimental to sperm activity and penetration and will affect conception. Women should wait until the inflammation is cured before preparing for pregnancy.

Okay, the editor will introduce whether you can get pregnant quickly with moderate cervical erosion. I believe it will be very useful to many people. Nowadays, cervical erosion is a very common gynecological disease. For this gynecological disease, we must treat it symptomatically and find a solution as soon as possible. Children are the future of the family. The editor hopes to realize everyone’s wish for a complete family as soon as possible.
