What to do if you have recurrent cervical erosion?

What to do if you have recurrent cervical erosion?

Many female friends have tried many methods to treat cervical erosion after discovering it, but the condition always recurs. Often, irregular vaginal bleeding will occur soon after being cured. This may be related to some other diseases in the body. It is best to treat recurrent cervical erosion through the following methods.

The reasons why patients with cervical erosion cannot be cured for a long time or recur repeatedly are as follows:

1. Suffering from sexually transmitted diseases: The number of patients with sexually transmitted diseases in my country is increasing year by year, such as gonorrhea, genital chlamydia infection, and genital warts. These pathogens can invade cervical epithelial cells, causing cervical inflammation and leading to cervical erosion.

2. Repeated artificial abortion: During artificial abortion, the cervix is damaged. If artificial abortions are repeated, the cervix will be damaged multiple times, which is also one of the reasons for the recurrence of cervical erosion.

3. Incomplete treatment: During drug treatment, if the treatment is too superficial or too limited in scope, the diseased tissue at the erosion site cannot be completely destroyed, resulting in residual diseased tissue, which may cause recurrence.

4. Abnormal local immunity: Some people believe that the sperm of each sexual partner and the bacteria brought in during sexual intercourse will play a specific immune invasion role. The ability of the local immune response of the cervix increases in direct proportion to the number of sexual partners. That is to say, women who have extramarital sex or too many sexual partners may also experience recurrence of cervical erosion.

Treatment

(1) Empirical antibiotic treatment For patients with the following high-risk factors for sexually transmitted diseases (such as age under 25 years, multiple or new sexual partners, and unprotected sexual intercourse), empirical antibiotic treatment against Chlamydia is used before the results of pathogen testing are obtained.

(2) Antibiotic treatment targeting pathogens For those who have acquired pathogens, choose antibiotics targeting the pathogens. Since Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection is often accompanied by chlamydial infection, if it is gonococcal cervicitis, in addition to using anti-Neisseria gonorrhoeae drugs, anti-chlamydial infection drugs should also be used during treatment.

(3) Treatment of sexual partners: If the pathogens of cervicitis patients are Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, their sexual partners should be examined and treated accordingly.

Female friends suffering from cervical erosion must be able to persist in their usual treatment. It is best to continue using the medicine for a period of time after being cured to minimize the possibility of recurrence. They should also pay attention to the hygiene of the genitals and engage in moderate physical exercise, which can effectively enhance the body's immunity to diseases.
