Why does the vaginal discharge suddenly increase?

The sudden increase in vaginal discharge should be a concern for many women. Because you don’t know when and under what circumstances it will suddenly become more and make people feel uncomfortable. There are many reasons for the sudden increase of leucorrhea, both physiological and pathological. Today, the editor has found the reason for the sudden increase in vaginal discharge, but it does not apply to everyone, so please go to the hospital for specific details.

Abnormal leucorrhea Leucorrhea refers to a liquid secreted from the female vagina, which under normal circumstances plays a role in lubricating and protecting the vagina. When the color, quality, and quantity of leucorrhea are abnormal, it is a manifestation of a certain disease. Traditional Chinese medicine calls it "leucorrhea" or "red and white discharge".

The causes and manifestations of abnormal leucorrhea are:

(1) Colorless, transparent, sticky leucorrhea: mostly caused by the use of estrogen drugs or physical weakness. Symptoms include normal appearance, heavy vaginal discharge, and lower back pain and fatigue.

(2) Purulent leucorrhea: It is often caused by purulent bacterial infections such as Trichomonas vaginitis, chronic cervicitis, senile vaginitis, endometritis, uterine effusion, and vaginal foreign bodies. It appears yellow or yellow-green and has a fishy smell.

(3) Tofu-like leucorrhea: It is caused by candidal vaginitis, accompanied by vulvar itching.

(4) Bloody leucorrhea: It is mostly caused by cervical polyps, senile vaginitis, severe chronic cervicitis, cervical cancer, uterine cancer or side effects of intrauterine contraceptive device. In particular, there is varying amounts of blood mixed in the leucorrhea, accompanied by dizziness.

Generally, such a situation indicates vaginitis infection, and you need to go to the hospital for gynecological and secretion examinations, receive treatment based on the examination results, change your underwear frequently, keep the vulva clean and dry, and avoid eating raw, cold, spicy and irritating foods.

The editor recommends that you change your underwear frequently and your sanitary napkins frequently during your menstrual period to prevent bacterial growth. If any other abnormal conditions occur, you must go to the hospital for examination in time and do not delay. Some gynecological diseases can easily turn into cancer once they become inflamed, so they must not be taken lightly. That’s all for today. See you next time.
