Does a cervical cyst require surgery?

Everyone should have heard of cervical cysts. It is not unfamiliar to everyone. This is a common benign tumor disease of the female cervix. After suffering from this disease, many people are very worried that it will become cancerous. The first reaction is to go to the hospital for surgery to remove it. So, after suffering from cervical cysts, do you need surgery? Let's take a look!

If there are no symptoms, you can observe and do regular cervical scraping (TCT); or puncture the cervix with a needle and apply iodine; if accompanied by inflammation, treat the inflammation accordingly; physical therapy such as microwave, laser, freezing, electric ironing, etc. can also be used. If there are no other associated conditions (such as cervical lesions, etc.), colposcopy or LEEP treatments are generally not recommended. It can also be treated with external Chinese medicine.

1. Pay attention to personal hygiene, exercise, and nutritional hygiene to ensure physical and mental health, keep the vulva clean, and prevent pathogens from invading and causing illness.

2. Have sexual intercourse in moderation and avoid excessive sexual intercourse. Pay attention to sexual hygiene, clean the vulva before and after sexual intercourse, and the spouse should pay attention to cleaning the smegma of the penis.

3. Implement family planning, take contraceptive measures, and try to avoid mechanical damage to the cervix caused by multiple abortions. At the same time, gynecological surgical operations must be performed strictly aseptically to prevent iatrogenic infection and injury. Avoid damaging the cervix during delivery. If cervical laceration is found, it should be sutured promptly and antibiotics should be used appropriately.

4. Pay attention to hygiene during menstruation, miscarriage and postpartum period. Sexual intercourse and bathing in a tub should be strictly prohibited during menstruation and after delivery to prevent pathogens from taking advantage of the opportunity to enter.

5. Have regular gynecological examinations and actively treat cervical inflammation if found. Sexual intercourse should be prohibited during the treatment of cervicitis. Stop applying topical medication during menstruation. Avoid spicy and greasy foods during treatment.

After suffering from cervical cyst, patients who have just become ill generally do not have any particularly obvious symptoms. They will gradually experience some vaginal tingling and vaginal bleeding, which is different from normal menstruation. If you are not an unmarried woman, it will also affect your reproductive function and the levels of sperm and eggs, so you should pay attention to it in time.
