How to treat cervical hypertrophy?

Female friends are the most vulnerable to illness among us because there are many parts of their bodies where germs may grow, especially their reproductive organs, which are particularly susceptible to disease. Female friends need our attention and care because they belong to a vulnerable group and will be more vulnerable once they get sick. So what should a woman do if she suffers from cervical hypertrophy? Let’s take a look together below.

Cervical hypertrophy is a type of chronic cervicitis. It is caused by long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, which causes cervical edema, congestion, and abdominal and interstitial hyperplasia, resulting in varying degrees of cervical hypertrophy, some of which can be 2 to 4 times larger than normal. The main symptoms include increased leucorrhea and excessive menstrual flow. Specifically, this disease may have the following series of symptoms.

1. Increased leucorrhea: In acute cervicitis, the leucorrhea is purulent, accompanied by pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral area, or bladder irritation symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. The leucorrhea of chronic cervicitis is milky white mucus or light yellow purulent.

2. Excessive menstrual flow and prolonged duration; the cycle may also be shortened to about 20 days, with no significant change in menstrual flow and duration; or the menstrual period may be prolonged but with little menstrual flow. Thick and purulent leucorrhea is not conducive to the passage of sperm and can also cause infertility. In case of severe cervical erosion or cervical polyps, bloody leucorrhea or bleeding after sexual intercourse may occur. In mild cases, there may be no systemic symptoms. When the inflammation spreads along the uterosacral ligament to the pelvic cavity, there may be pain in the lumbar region, a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen, and dysmenorrhea, which worsens during bowel movements and sexual intercourse.

It can be seen from this that women with cervical hypertrophy must actively seek treatment. The key to treatment is how to choose the treatment method. If the condition is mild and develops well, it may be OK with drug treatment, but if it is serious, physical therapy must be used to eradicate the problem. Here our hospital recommends you an effective treatment method - the German cervical LEEP knife. This technology treats cervical hypertrophy with a short operation time, less bleeding, no pain, and quick recovery. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to recover.

Differential diagnosis of cervical hypertrophy:

1. Various uterine bleeding related to pregnancy: Uterine hypertrophy can be seen with heavy vaginal bleeding, but there is no history of amenorrhea and no early pregnancy reaction; various uterine bleeding related to pregnancy, such as miscarriage, hydatidiform mole, etc., all have a history of amenorrhea, and pregnancy tests and B-ultrasound examinations are helpful for differential diagnosis. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding: In patients with dysfunctional uterine bleeding, uterine bleeding is often irregular and occurs mostly during adolescence and menopause. The uterus does not enlarge or only slightly enlarges. Uterine hypertrophy often occurs in women of childbearing age and multiparous women. Bleeding is often characterized by heavy flow but normal or shortened cycles. The uterus is significantly enlarged, as big as a duck egg or even a goose egg.

2. Uterine fibroids: Uterine hypertrophy can be easily confused with small intramural fibroids or submucosal fibroids in the uterine cavity. This disease is also manifested by an enlarged uterus and heavy menstruation, but bimanual examination may reveal that the uterus is hard or has an uneven feel. The diagnosis can be confirmed through B-ultrasound examination. Adenomyosis: It is also manifested by a consistent enlargement of the uterus, generally not exceeding the size of a 3-month pregnancy, accompanied by sick menstruation or menstrual disorders. Before menstruation, the uterus is slightly larger and softer than usual, and returns to its normal size after menstruation.

2. Treatment measures:

1. Change your underwear frequently and wear loose underwear. Do not wear underwear made of nylon or other non-cotton products. The patient's underwear, used bathtubs, towels, etc. should be boiled in hot water for disinfection. It is advisable to flush the vagina once a week to avoid bacterial imbalance and bacterial infection.

2. Stop having sex. If either man or woman suffers from athlete's foot, they should actively seek treatment. For those who are malnourished, physically weak or suffer from chronic diseases (such as diabetes), they should pay close attention to whether there are fungal infections in other parts of the body, actively control the primary disease and improve the body's resistance. This disease may be complicated by Trichomonas vaginalis, so you should check for Trichomonas vaginalis infection. If so, you should treat it together.

Although female friends need everyone's attention in their daily lives, they also need to take care of and protect themselves. They should learn to read some women's magazines to understand whether some of their behaviors are acceptable. When female friends are diagnosed with cervical hypertrophy, they must remain calm, go to the hospital for a thorough check-up, read the above carefully, and receive treatment seriously.
