What should I do if my vaginal discharge is yellow and has blood?

Leucorrhea is a secretion from a girl's vagina, but if the leucorrhea is bloody, you should be alert and see if you are sick. Generally speaking, if the leucorrhea is bloody, you should be alert to malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. But at the same time, vaginitis and uterine erosion can also cause leucorrhea, yellow discharge, and blood. Its treatment methods include Western medicine, Chinese medicine and diet therapy.

Leucorrhea with blood is medically called bloody leucorrhea, and there is blood mixed in the leucorrhea. You should be alert to the possibility of malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. However, benign lesions such as cervical polyps, cervical erosion, submucosal myoma, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, urethral caruncle, senile vaginitis, etc. can also cause bloody leucorrhea. Bloody leucorrhea with blood streaks caused by intrauterine contraceptive devices is also common.

The leucorrhea contains blood, but the amount of bleeding is not much. Some people only have a small amount of brown secretion. It usually lasts for half a day or 2 to 3 days, and no more than 7 days at most. It may be accompanied by mild ovulation pain and back pain. Western medicine calls it ovulation bleeding, while traditional Chinese medicine calls it "intermenstrual bleeding." This is due to a temporary drop in estrogen levels, which causes the endometrium to lose hormonal support and partially shed, causing regular vaginal bleeding.

The patient should be asked in detail about the amount of vaginal discharge, whether it stains underwear or requires a menstrual belt, the color of the vaginal discharge, whether it has a special odor, the time of occurrence, whether it irritates the vulva and causes itching, and whether there has been a diagnosis of pathological vaginal discharge in the past. In terms of treatment, active treatment can eliminate susceptibility factors. Keep the vulva clean and dry and avoid scratching. It is not advisable to eat spicy and irritating foods, the effect is very good. Change your underwear frequently and wash it with warm water. Do not mix it with other clothes to avoid cross infection.

Under normal circumstances, leucorrhea is an odorless, slightly acidic viscous substance. Leucorrhea plays an important role, such as lubricating the vagina, facilitating penis insertion, and cooperating with sexual intercourse. If a girl has bloody leucorrhea, she should go to a regular gynecological hospital for examination and treatment. Don't think it is a minor illness and delay the treatment.
