Sisters all know that normal women of childbearing age have menstruation once a month. The period from the beginning of this menstruation to the first day of the next menstruation is called a menstrual cycle. For example, from the perspective of contraception, each menstrual cycle of a woman can be divided into the menstrual period, ovulation period and safe period. Of course, the ovulation period is what we commonly call the dangerous period, so it is particularly easy to get pregnant during this period of time. The rhythm method is a type of natural contraceptive method, but since there is no unified recognition/scope of natural contraceptive methods among countries, and the rhythm method is one of the relatively reliable contraceptive methods, some countries and regions directly call the rhythm method a natural contraceptive method. Many couples use this method of contraception not only for religious reasons, but also because they have concerns about taking synthetic drugs, using chemical drugs and invasive devices. Safe period contraception is a physiological contraceptive method. Sexual life is carried out under normal conditions and satisfactory sexual pleasure can be obtained. 1. Safe period The safe period corresponds to the fertile period. We all know that the first step in conception is the combination of sperm and egg to form a fertilized egg. A woman usually releases only one egg during one menstrual cycle, and the egg's ability to conceive (i.e. survival) is only 24-48 hours after it is released from the ovary (waiting for fertilization in the fallopian tube). The lifespan of sperm in the female reproductive tract is about 2-3 days, so conception is possible if you have sexual intercourse 2-3 days before ovulation and 1-2 days after ovulation. This period is called the fertile period, also called the "dangerous period" or the conception period. Ovarian ovulation usually occurs within 2 days before or after the 14th day of menstruation (the specific ovulation period is calculated according to the menstrual cycle), and the ovulation day is usually the few days in the middle of the two menstrual periods. It is impossible to conceive during the period when ovulation does not occur. When ovulation occurs, fertilization can only occur when it encounters sperm. The entire period is approximately within 10 days after menstruation, and from the 20th day after menstruation to the next menstruation. The closer to the menstrual period, the greater the possibility of contraception. In fact, since sexual intercourse is not allowed during menstruation, many scholars, including Gopla, exclude menstruation from the scope of safe period. The safe period is divided into the safe period before ovulation and the safe period after ovulation. The period from the end of menstruation to the day before ovulation is the safe period before ovulation. From the first day after the end of ovulation to the day before the next menstrual cramps is the safe period after ovulation. The safe period after ovulation is safer than the safe period before ovulation. This is because some women sometimes affected by environmental changes and mood swings affect the advance of the ovulation, so before the safe period ovulation will be shortened, but did not know their own, so before the safety period ovulation is not safe. The opportunity that the ovary has two eggs in a menstrual cycle is very rare, that is, after ovulation to the next menstrual cramps before this period of time usually won't happen again the second time of ovulation, so the safety period after ovulation is relatively safe. 2 Dangerous period The dangerous period is the fertile period (ovulation period), which is a few days before and after the ovulation day. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days, the ovulation period. It is easier to get pregnant if you have sex during the ovulation period. The dangerous period only refers to contraception. If you plan to have a child, you must arrange sexual intercourse during this period. The egg's ability to conceive is only 24 hours at most after ovulation, while the lifespan of sperm is about 3-4 days. Ovulation can sometimes occur a few days earlier or later, so the dangerous period should be extended by a few days, which is "five or six days before ovulation to two or three days after ovulation." Ovulation usually occurs between two menstrual periods. If menstruation comes every 28-30 days, then the ovulation day is around the 14th to 16th day of menstruation. In this way, you can roughly calculate the dangerous period (i.e. conception period, ovulation period) 3 In addition, there is a universal and simple quick calculation method: "the longest menstrual cycle minus 11, the shortest cycle minus 18", and the dangerous period is in between. For example, if menstruation comes every 28-30 days, 30-11=19, 28-18=10, the dangerous period is from the 11th to the 19th day of menstruation. Things to note when using safe period contraception: When using safe period contraception, you must first accurately determine the ovulation period. If it is not strictly mastered or used improperly, it can easily lead to failure. At least one of the couple should be able to master the method of determining the ovulation period. If they cannot master this method, they cannot use safe period contraception. Safe period contraception means stopping sexual intercourse during the ovulation period, which requires close cooperation from the man, otherwise it cannot be used. Of course, it is also possible to use external contraceptives during ovulation. Contraception during the rhythm period is unsafe. Extrapolation is often unreliable. The time of female ovulation is affected by factors such as the external environment, climate, her own mood, and health status, which may result in delayed or early ovulation, and extra ovulation may also occur. The failure rate of safe period contraception is about 20%. Generally, people with irregular menstrual cycles are not suitable for using the safe period method for contraception. To be precise, there is no fixed time for sperm to enter the female reproductive tract and survive there, so the safe period cannot be calculated very accurately. Furthermore, if the menstrual cycle is irregular or you are breastfeeding after childbirth, the ovulation time will be even more difficult to determine, and there will be no question of safety or danger. Therefore, wearing a condom during intercourse will ensure safety. I hope it is useful to everyone. |
