What is the reason for leucorrhea like thick snot?

Discharge is a common secretion of women. Under normal circumstances, it is clear and odorless. So, what is the reason if our discharge appears to be thick and mucus-like?

Process/Method:

1. Reason 1: If our secretions turn yellow in white, which is not normal, and are like thick snot, with a lot of volume and odor, it is usually caused by vaginitis, chronic cervicitis or endocervicitis. The milky white secretion looks like tofu dregs of leucorrhea, or it comes in clums and is sometimes difficult to wipe off. This may be a fungal infection.

2. Reason 2: However, if the secretion is very much, the color is abnormal, it is turbid like rice water, it has a foul smell, and sometimes there is light pink stuff in it, it means that there is a malignant disease in the uterus or vagina, such as cervical cancer, vaginal cancer and other diseases. If the secretion is very thin, as thin as water, or it flows out in bursts, it is possible that both fallopian tubes are diseased. If the water sample is milky white, completely transparent and clear, it is usually water in the fallopian tube.

3. Reason three: Yellow leucorrhea is generally caused by infection with chlamydia and bacteria, while dark yellow leucorrhea is generally caused by necrosis of diseased tissue or changes in characteristics. The more common ones are uterine fibroids under the uterine wall, cervical cancer, uterine body cancer, and cervical adenocarcinoma.

Milky white mucous discharge

Although it looks the same as normal leucorrhea, the amount is increased and it is a slightly sticky white mucus. This type of discharge is common after the use of drugs containing estrogen or when the pelvic cavity is congested. It is caused by increased secretion of the cervical gland duct and vaginal mucosa and generally does not require special treatment.

Tofu-like vaginal discharge

It is a symptom unique to candidal vaginitis, which is usually accompanied by severe itching in the private parts. The private parts and vaginal walls are often covered with a layer of white film-like substance, which is not easy to wipe off. If it is wiped off, the swollen mucosal surface will be exposed, which is easy to be infected by fungi, and is often accompanied by vulvar itching and burning pain. Especially diabetics or pregnant women should remember this, because pregnant women and diabetics have poor physical constitution and decreased immunity, which makes them prone to fungal infections.
