Symptoms and pictures of uterine prolapse

Uterine prolapse refers to the woman's uterus falling down along the vagina, or even completely out of the vulva, which often occurs in women who have just given birth, and is accompanied by symptoms such as lower back pain and abnormalities of the urogenital system. So, how to treat this kind of disease? What is the best food for women with uterine prolapse? How to prevent uterine prolapse?

What is uterine prolapse?

Uterine prolapse is a urinary system disease that occurs exclusively in women. The so-called prolapse refers to a significant change in the position of a woman's uterus, which gradually moves down along the vagina from its original position. At this time, the patient's cervix will exceed the level of the sciatic spine, and sometimes the uterus will even completely leave the vulva. It is usually accompanied by complications such as protrusion of the anterior and posterior walls of the vagina.

Causes of uterine prolapse

1. Pregnant women giving birth

Childbirth will cause very serious wear and tear on women's bodies, and will cause varying degrees of damage to the cervix, myometrium, and uterosacral tendons. In addition, if the supporting tissues after childbirth are not fully restored, uterine prolapse may occur.

2. Confinement period

Many pregnant women like to choose a supine posture during confinement, which can easily lead to chronic urinary retention. The uterus after delivery is prone to posterior position. When the abdominal pressure increases, the uterus will slowly slide down along the vagina, resulting in prolapse.

3. Workers who have just given birth

If women do not take good care of themselves after giving birth, but often do housework and wash diapers, it will increase abdominal pressure, thereby increasing the risk of uterine prolapse.

4. Male reproductive organ dysplasia

Women who have not experienced childbirth may also experience symptoms of uterine prolapse, which is mainly due to the incomplete development of the supporting tissues of their genitals.

Symptoms of uterine prolapse

Clinical symptoms

1. Pain

Women with uterine prolapse usually feel back pain and a feeling of heaviness in the abdomen, which is more obvious when they walk or squat. If the condition is severe, the object that has slipped out of the vagina cannot return to its original position, causing difficulty in walking.

2. Cervix

After the cervix prolapses completely, if certain effective measures are not taken in time and the cervix is exposed to the environment where bacteria grow for a long time, the inner mucosa will proliferate and keratinize, and sometimes erosion and ulceration will occur.

3. Abnormal secretions

Women suffering from this disease will notice that their lower body secretions are abnormal, with more secretions, sometimes thick blood or pus. Some women may also experience menstrual disorders, menorrhagia and other conditions.

Level of uterine prolapse

I degree

At this time, the level of the patient's cervical opening is lower than the ischial spine, and the cervix and uterine body are still in the vagina. Patients of this level do not need treatment, just enough rest at home.

II degree

(1) Main manifestations

At this point, the patient's cervix has completely left the vagina, but part or all of the uterus is still in the vagina.

(2) Classification

Grade II uterine prolapse can be divided into two types: mild and severe. In some patients, part of the cervix and anterior vaginal wall will protrude into the vagina, which is called mild grade II. In more serious cases, only part of the uterus and a small part of the anterior vaginal wall remain in the vagina. Sometimes the anterior vaginal wall will completely slip off. This condition is called severe grade II.

Grade III

At this time, the patient's condition worsens seriously, and her uterus, cervix, all of the anterior vaginal wall and part of the posterior vaginal wall all protrude out of the vulva.
