Treatment of gonococcal vaginitis

Treatment of gonococcal vaginitis

There are differences between gonorrheal vaginitis and gonococcal vaginitis, and their treatments are also different. Of course, the consequences they may cause are very serious. If not treated, it will lead to female infertility. Every woman’s dream after marriage is to become a mother. If she cannot get pregnant, it is a heavy blow to every woman. So what is gonorrheal vaginitis? How does it lead to female infertility?

How does vaginitis cause female infertility?

1. Pathogens infecting the vagina and causing infertility

Some vaginitis may be caused by infection with other pathogens. For example, ureaplasma urealyticum, Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma genitalium, etc. may cause vaginal infection. This infection will not only cause infertility, but it is also likely to cause fetal arrest, miscarriage, and stillbirth. Therefore, if you plan to get pregnant, you should conduct a careful examination to rule out the many factors that may lead to infertility.

2. Changes in the vaginal environment lead to infertility

The vagina is a receptor for sexual intercourse and semen. Under normal circumstances, the vagina has a relatively safe environment with a relatively constant acidity and alkalinity. When certain organic or functional diseases of the vulva and vagina occur, changes in the vaginal environment affect the function of normal sperm, leading to infertility. This environment, which is suitable for the temporary retention and passage of sperm, is very important. Once this environment is destroyed, infertility is likely to occur.

3. Vaginal bleeding leading to gynecological infertility

Vaginal bleeding is one of the most common symptoms of female reproductive diseases. The causes are multifaceted. In addition to normal menstruation, vaginal bleeding may occur when there is inflammation of the reproductive organs, pathological pregnancy, endocrine diseases, trauma, tumors, etc. Therefore, if a female friend experiences abnormal vaginal bleeding, she should go to the hospital for examination immediately to find out the cause of the bleeding to avoid causing serious gynecological diseases and leading to infertility.

Early manifestations:

1. Nonspecific vaginitis: There is a feeling of falling and burning in the vulva and vagina, a large amount of vaginal epithelium falls off, the vaginal mucosa is congested, and there is obvious tenderness. In severe cases, general fatigue and lower abdominal discomfort may occur, the amount of leucorrhea is large and purulent or serous. The outflow of leucorrhea irritates the urethra, and frequent urination and painful urination may occur.

2. Candidal vaginitis: also called vaginal candidiasis. The prominent symptoms are increased vaginal discharge and severe itching of the vulva and vagina. In severe cases, the patient may be restless and in extreme pain, and may also experience frequent urination, painful urination, and pain during sexual intercourse. The leucorrhea is white, thick and resembling dregs of soybean dregs, the vaginal membrane is highly edematous, and there are white flaky films adhering to it which are easy to peel off. The erosion of the damaged mucosa may form shallow ulcers, and in severe cases, ecchymosis may remain, which are typical symptoms of this disease.

3. Trichomonas vaginitis: The amount of leucorrhea increases and is yellow-white, occasionally with yellow-green pus, often foamy and fishy. When the disease is severe, it will be mixed with blood; followed by low back pain, frequent urination, painful urination, vulvar itching, and dull pain in the lower abdomen. The vaginal mucosa is red and swollen, with scattered bleeding spots or strawberry-shaped protrusions, which occasionally cause pain during sexual intercourse.

The above is a partial explanation of the possible consequences of gonococcal vaginitis. Only the patients themselves know how serious the consequences are. Gonorrheal vaginitis belongs to the category of gynecological diseases. This makes us understand that as women, we should not only have good eating habits, but also pay attention to physical hygiene, such as the selection of sanitary products and underwear, etc. In addition, we should take a bath every day and pay attention to personal hygiene.
