What is the whole process of childbirth like?

Maybe many expectant fathers want to know what the whole process of childbirth is like, so that they can have a general understanding of the childbirth process of pregnant women and make adequate preparations. You must know that it is not easy for pregnant women to give birth to a healthy and lovely baby smoothly after ten months of pregnancy. The whole process seems to be very difficult and painful. The following is the specific process.

The first stage of a woman's childbirth process: At this time, there will be regular abdominal contractions. As the cervix opens, the pain lasts longer and longer, while the intervals become shorter and shorter. Because the cervix opens slowly, the first stage of delivery is the most time-consuming, and it takes about 8-12 hours for a first-time mother to give birth.

The second stage of labor begins when the cervix is fully dilated (10 cm) until the baby is born. Usually, it takes 1-2 hours for a first-time mother to have labor pains, and the labor pains become more intense, from every 2-3 minutes to every one minute, and there will be a feeling of waves. At this time, you should cooperate with the wave of contractions and push downwards with force as if you were having a bowel movement. The mother does not need to worry too much, let alone kick and scream. She should let nature take its course, be careful not to contract her feet, and not touch the disinfected parts of her body.

After the head is delivered, the baby's head begins to rotate clockwise. Then after a while, the right shoulder is delivered. At this time, the doctor will put his hands together and apply a little force on the mother's back to press the baby's head down, delivering the right shoulder first. Then, he will lift the baby's head upward (the mother's ventral side) to deliver the left shoulder. After the head is delivered, it only takes 2-3 minutes for the whole body of the fetus to be delivered. The mother suddenly feels relieved. Then, the doctor uses a straw to suck out the amniotic fluid and blood from the baby's nose and mouth. The baby's cry is the proof of his health.

After the baby is delivered, the uterus will become smaller and harder due to contraction. After 5-30 minutes, the placenta will be detached and delivered. There is no severe pain and it can be completed smoothly with just a little force. There will be bleeding during the delivery of the placenta, but it is only a small amount and there is no need to worry. After the baby is born, the doctor will cut the umbilical cord and clean its body. Then place the naked body under the mother's chest for early sucking.

Through the above introduction, everyone is very clear about the whole process of childbirth. In order to avoid nervousness in pregnant women before delivery, it is still necessary to have a general understanding of the childbirth process. Moreover, prospective fathers can also realize how difficult it is to be a mother, and they will care for them more in the future.
