What to do if the labia majora is ulcerated

The physical condition of female friends is very special. They are very vulnerable to diseases, especially gynecological diseases which affect more people. Gynecological diseases basically trouble all female friends. Once a woman's labia minora becomes diseased, it will cause harm to her body. So what kind of diseases are more likely to occur in a woman's labia minora? This is something that female friends must be clear about.

1. Vulvar furuncle: Vulvar furuncle is more dangerous than furuncle in other parts of the body because the furuncle here can easily invade the Bartholin's glands and cause abscesses. The patient will have fever and severe pain, and often requires surgical incision and drainage of pus.

2. Vulvar leukoplakia: Vulvar leukoplakia can be confined to the vulva or can spread around the anus. In the early stage of the disease, the vulva is edematous, and later the skin becomes thick, white, rough, and cracked, with unbearable itching. Vulvar leukoplakia is considered a precancerous lesion and should be monitored and treated early.

3. Vulvar warts: Vulvar warts are caused by viruses. There are extensive polypoid epithelial hyperplasia in the shape of flower beds on the vulva. They are red and clustered on the labia majora and minora, urethral orifice, perineum, anus and inner thighs. They may also cause severe pain after abrasion.

4. Vulvar mole: If you find a mole on the skin of the lip, you should be careful not to irritate it. If there is black hair on it, do not pull it out to prevent it from deteriorating into malignant melanoma and endangering your life. If enlargement or bulging is found, surgical removal should be performed as soon as possible.

5. Vulvar itching: Vulvar itching is a very common disease among women. In mild cases, the itching occurs intermittently, while in severe cases, it is continuous and unbearable. Often, the itching is not relieved by scratching the skin until it breaks and bleeds.

6. Vulvar hemangioma: Hemangioma is dark red or bluish purple. It fades when pressed and returns to its original color when released. There are generally no other symptoms. If it is a cavernous hemangioma, there may be a feeling of pressure and heaviness.

7. Vulvar carcinoma in situ: At the beginning, it is often a small hard nodule that is painless and itchy and is often not noticed. As the tumor grows larger, ulcer infection and pain may occur. Such painless nodules, ulcers or white spots that do not heal for a long time should alert you to the possibility of cancer.

8. Herpes simplex vulvae: This is caused by herpes type 1 virus. Clusters of small blisters appear locally on the labia, with transparent fluid and a slightly red base. After being scratched, they will erode, exude, form scabs or become infected with bacteria. There will be local burning, itching and slight pain, and the area will heal in one to two weeks.

9. Vulvar xerophytes: The basic pathological changes of this disease are atrophy and dryness of the vulva. First, the skin of the labia majora becomes thinner, redder, and flatter, followed by atrophy of the labia minora, retraction of the clitoris, and narrowing of the vaginal opening, which may even affect sexual life. If bacteria invade the cracked skin, it can also cause atrophic vulvitis, which is characterized by constant itching.

10. Vulvar ulcer: Acute vulvar ulcer, also known as "Behcet's disease", is more common in young girls and young women. It is a disease related to poor immune function. Its characteristics are: ulcers occur suddenly on the inner side of the labia minora. The ulcers can be single or multiple, and their sizes are quite inconsistent. The small ones are like millet grains, the large ones are like soybeans, or even like peanuts. The ulcers are mostly round with clear boundaries and are extremely painful to touch. Vulvar ulcers heal slowly and may recur again after recovery, with the interval between recurrences being as long as a year or even several years.

Female friends must pay enough attention to their own bodies. Once you find yourself showing symptoms of illness, you must pay enough attention and go to the hospital for relevant examinations as soon as possible. Once you find yourself sick, go to the hospital for relevant treatment as soon as possible to completely get rid of the disturbance of the disease and let us and our family live happily.
