Why is vaginal discharge red?

Why is vaginal discharge red?

Some female patients have problems with their bodies, which will seriously threaten the health of women. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to timely examination and treatment to ensure the health of women's bodies and avoid situations where gynecological diseases threaten women's safety and health. So why is the leucorrhea red? Then let me introduce this issue to you.

1. Ovulation bleeding may cause bloody vaginal discharge: After one week of menstruation, it is usually the ovulation period. Due to the temporary drop in estrogen levels, the endometrium loses hormonal support and some endometrium sheds, causing regular vaginal bleeding, which is called ovulation bleeding. If there is a small amount of blood in the vaginal discharge at this time, it is normal.

2. Mild endocrine disorders cause bloody vaginal discharge: Occasional bloody vaginal discharge is related to mood changes, work pressure, environmental changes, etc.

3. Cervical erosion can cause blood in leucorrhea: Cervical erosion can cause a small amount of vaginal bleeding, so if there is blood in leucorrhea, the patient can go to the hospital for a gynecological examination.

4. Pregnancy can cause bloody vaginal discharge: If you don't know whether you are pregnant, you can go to the hospital for a blood HCG test, the result is reliable.

Symptoms of leucorrhea in women:

1. Colorless paste-like leucorrhea Leucorrhea is sticky like paste, with large amount, and often stains underwear. Except for lower back pain, the patient has no other symptoms. It is more common in chronic metritis. In addition, women who use more estrogen preparations may also experience this kind of leucorrhea.

2. Bean-dreg-like leucorrhea The amount of leucorrhea is large, and it is shaped like bean dregs and is floc-like. It is often accompanied by vaginal itching. This type of leucorrhea is mostly caused by vaginal fungal infection or diabetes.

3. Foamy leucorrhea The leucorrhea is foamy, large in amount, and accompanied by itching of the vulva and vagina. If a vaginal leucorrhea smear test is done, active Trichomonas may be detected. This is because of infection with Trichomonas due to unclean bath water during a tub bath, pool bath or sitz bath. This disease is often caused by itching and scratching of the vaginal opening, which leads to purulent infection and the leucorrhea turns into yellow pus and foam.

4. Purulent leucorrhea is dark red, yellow or green in color, and is often accompanied by symptoms such as general weakness and low fever. It is likely to be acute vaginitis or cervicitis. Purulence indicates bacterial infection, and you should seek medical attention promptly.

5. Watery leucorrhea Leucorrhea is clear like water, often soaks the underwear, and has a foul odor. It is often a sign of fallopian tube tumors.

If women find the above-mentioned changes in leucorrhea, they should not take it lightly and should go to the hospital for gynecological examination and treatment in time.

The above is my opinion on this issue. If a woman has the above-mentioned abnormal leucorrhea, she needs to pay attention to timely examination and treatment. This is the only way to ensure the safety of the patient and avoid affecting the health of the female patient due to the above-mentioned problems. Finally, I wish the patient a speedy recovery.
