Principles of frozen embryo transfer technology

There are many technologies for treating diseases now. Before choosing some special technologies, you need to understand all aspects of it, so that when using it, you will know what its effects are and whether it is harmful to the body. Frozen embryo transplantation is relatively common, but many people are not very clear about the principles of frozen embryo transplantation technology.

Principle of frozen embryo transfer technology:

Embryo freezing is the only proven method for preserving fertility. The technology of freezing embryos is to store the embryos obtained through in vitro fertilization technology in a liquid nitrogen environment at minus 196°C for long-term preservation. If this cycle fails, these embryos can be thawed and transferred in a subsequent natural cycle.

The embryos and freezing solution are placed in a freezing tube and cooled down slowly (embryos on the 2nd and 3rd day) or quickly (blastocysts on the 5th and 6th day) so that the embryos can be stilled and stored in liquid nitrogen at 196 degrees. If there are any remaining embryos of good quality, they can be frozen and preserved, and then thawed and implanted into the uterine cavity in a future natural or artificial cycle, which will increase the chances of conception.

It can be used for patients who obtain a large number of embryos with good quality in a superovulation cycle and cannot be transplanted all at once. The excess frozen embryos can be preserved. For patients with severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome who are not suitable for embryo transplantation in the treatment cycle, the frozen embryos can be revived and transplanted in a subsequent natural cycle or artificial cycle. The clinical pregnancy rate of frozen embryo thawing was 48.28%, and the clinical pregnancy rate of blastocyst thawing was 63.48%.

After understanding the principles of frozen embryo transfer technology, you can feel confident when choosing frozen embryo transfer. Its success rate is relatively high, and it can be an option for couples who have difficulty getting pregnant. However, when choosing this technology, you must undergo various physical examinations to have some understanding of your own problems.
