Methods of treating cervicitis with traditional Chinese medicine

If the leucorrhea is continuous, add 15 grams of Cornus officinalis, 10 grams of Euryale ferox, and 15 grams of Dragon Bone to consolidate and stop the leucorrhea; if accompanied by cold pain in the lower abdomen, add 10 grams of Artemisia argyi and 10 grams of Linderae strychnifolia to warm the meridians and dispel cold.

(2) Kidney deficiency type:

① Kidney Yang Deficiency Type: Treat by warming and tonifying kidney Yang, consolidating and stopping leucorrhea. The prescription is Yougui Pills with modifications.

Prescription: 10g of cooked rehmannia, 10g of antler glue, 10g of dodder seed, 10g of eucommia bark, 6g of cinnamon, 10g of processed aconite, 10g of psoralea corylifolia, and 10g of astragalus. If the stool is loose, add 15 grams of nutmeg to the above formula to warm the kidney and stop diarrhea.

② Kidney Yin deficiency type: Treat by nourishing kidney yang, clearing away heat and stopping leukorrhea. The prescription used is Zhibai Dihuang Decoction.

Prescription: 12g of Rehmannia glutinosa, 10g of Cornus officinalis, 10g of Chinese yam, 10g of Alisma orientalis, 12g of Poria, 10g of Cortex Moutan, 10g of Anemarrhena asphodeloides, 10g of Phellodendron chinense, 12g of Lycium barbarum. If the amount of leucorrhea is heavy, add 15g of Euryale ferox and 10g of cuttlefish bone to consolidate and stop the leucorrhea.

(3) Damp-heat type: Treat by clearing away heat, promoting the flow of dampness and stopping leukorrhea. The prescription is Yihuang Decoction with added ingredients.

Prescription: 18 grams of yam, 10 grams of Euryale ferox, 10 grams of Phellodendron chinense, 10 grams of Plantago seed (package), 10 grams of Ginkgo nut, 10 grams of Moutan bark, 10 grams of Artemisia capillaris, and 6 grams of Achyranthes bidentata.

If the patient has spleen deficiency, add 30 grams of Astragalus and 10 grams of fried Atractylodes to strengthen the spleen and replenish qi.

2. External treatment:

(1) Topical medication:

Prescription ①: 60g of Mutouhui, 60g of Forsythia suspensa, 30g of Alum

Grind the above medicines into fine powder and set aside. When using, wipe off the vaginal secretions, put about 1 gram of the powder on a sterilized cotton ball, insert it into the vagina, close to the cervix. Generally, apply the medicine once every 3 days, and 3 times constitute a course of treatment.

Prescription ②: honeysuckle and licorice in equal amounts

Grind the medicine into fine powder for later use. Clean vaginal secretions before use. Dip a sterilized cotton ball in the powder and insert it into the vagina. Remove it on the second day. One course of treatment is 7 times of use.

In addition, there are also people who spray watermelon frost or double throat powder on the cervix to treat chronic cervicitis.

(2) Fumigation method:

Prescription ("Internal Diseases and External Treatment"): 30g each of wild chrysanthemum, violet yedoensis, and barbata loofah

Decoction several herbs together, use it to fumigate and wash the genitals once a day. One course of treatment is 7 days. This prescription has the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, promoting dampness and stopping leukorrhea, and can be used for damp-heat type cervicitis.

(3) Vaginal douching:

Prescription: Liu Jinu, Dandelion, 60g each, Patrinia, Tripterygium wilfordii, Phellodendron chinense, 30g each, Sophora flavescens, Honeysuckle, 100g White Flower Hedyotis diffusa

Add water to the above medicine and boil it to obtain 1000 ml, then put it into a flushing bottle. When the temperature of the medicine drops to 20℃~30℃, let the patient take the lithotomy position, use a vaginal dilator to dilate the vagina, and flush the cervix, once a day. This prescription has the effects of clearing away heat, detoxifying, promoting dampness and stopping leukorrhea.
