What are the commonly used drugs for female urology?

After a woman has sex, her vagina is in a relatively open state, which can easily lead to some pathogens entering the vagina and causing vaginitis, and then ascending infection leading to urinary tract infection. There are not many pathogens that cause female urinary tract infections, so when treating them, you only need to use anti-inflammatory drugs to achieve a good therapeutic effect. So what are the commonly used therapeutic drugs in female urology?

1. Penicillins

(1) Penicillin G: This drug is a bactericidal agent during the bacterial reproduction period. For adults, 800,000 units are injected intramuscularly each time, once every 8-12 hours.

(2) Ampicillin: According to the Wu Jieping Urology Center of Peking University, this drug is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. The oral dosage is 2-4 grams per day for adults, divided into 3-4 times on an empty stomach; the injection dosage is 2-4 grams per day for adults, divided into 2-4 times by intravenous drip or once by intramuscular injection every 4-6 hours.

2. Cephalosporin antibiotics

(1) Cefazolin sodium: This drug is effective against many bacteria. The dosage for adults is 1-2 grams per day, divided into 2-4 intramuscular injections or 2 intravenous drips.

(2) Cefuroxime: This drug can be used as the first choice for patients with urinary tract infection accompanied by renal insufficiency. The dosage of oral preparation is 2-4 grams per day for adults, divided into 4 doses; the dosage of injection is 1-2 grams per day for adults, divided into 3-4 intramuscular injections or 1-2 intravenous drips.

3. Sulfonamide antibiotics

(1) Short-acting preparations: According to the Wu Jieping Urology Center of Peking University, short-acting preparations such as sulfamethoxazole (SIZ) have a strong antibacterial effect. The concentration in urine is dozens of times higher than that in blood, making it particularly suitable for the treatment of urinary tract infections. The dosage for adults is 4 grams orally per day, divided into 4 doses.

(2) Medium-acting preparations: such as sulfamethoxazole (SMZ), which has similar antibacterial effects to sulfamethoxazole. If this drug is used in combination with an antimicrobial potentiator (TMP), its efficacy can be enhanced dozens of times. Co-trimoxazole is composed of SMZ and TMP in a ratio of 5:1, so it is particularly suitable for the treatment of urinary tract infections. Adults should take 1-2 tablets each time, twice a day. The first dose can be doubled.

(3) Long-acting preparations: These drugs include sulfamethoxazole, sulfamethoxazole, and sulfamethoxazole. The characteristics of these drugs are small dosage, few side effects and easy to take. The usage of sulfamethoxazole is 0.5-1.0 grams per dose for adults, once a day. The first dose can be doubled. The usage of sulfamethoxazole is 0.5-1.0 grams per dose for adults, once a day. The first dose can be doubled.

The above are the commonly used therapeutic drugs for female urology. However, these drugs need to be selected and used according to the patient's disease symptoms. Therefore, patients must not take drugs privately. If there are symptoms of urinary tract infection, it is correct to go to the hospital to see a doctor for treatment in time. Do not take drugs privately because you feel embarrassed and delay disease treatment.
