Endometrial hyperplasia: causes and treatment

Endometrial hyperplasia: causes and treatment

Endometrial hyperplasia is a disease that mainly occurs in some adolescent and middle-aged women. Its causes are generally irregular menstruation, heavy menstrual flow and prolonged menstruation. For endometrial hyperplasia, we should use drug treatment to control it in our lives, so that you can reduce the damage of endometrial hyperplasia to the uterus in your life.

The clinical manifestations of endometrial hyperplasia are functional uterine bleeding, with the main symptoms being irregular menstruation, prolonged menstruation and excessive menstrual flow. Most patients develop the disease during menopause or adolescence. Its occurrence is related to excessive secretion of ovarian estrogen and lack of progesterone. The main clinical manifestation is functional uterine bleeding, which can occur in women of childbearing age and menopausal women. Endometrial hyperplasia, atypical hyperplasia and endometrial carcinoma are a continuous evolutionary process both in morphology and biology.

Causes

1. The body is stimulated by high levels of estrogen, either endogenously (such as endocrine functional tumors in the ovary or pituitary gland) or exogenously (such as estrogen replacement therapy).

2. Due to the lack of ovulation, the endometrium is in a state of proliferative growth for a long time and lacks periodic secretory phase transformation.

3. Simple hyperplasia is considered to be a physiological response of the endometrium to the body's high estrogen state. The most common cause is anovulatory menstruation, which often occurs in women before menarche or menopause.

The treatment of atypical endometrial hyperplasia must first determine the diagnosis and the cause of the atypical hyperplasia, including whether there is polycystic ovary, functional ovarian tumors or other endocrine dysfunction. Those with any of the above conditions should receive targeted treatment. At the same time, symptomatic treatment can be started for atypical endometrial hyperplasia, using drug therapy or surgical treatment. The choice of these two treatment options should be based on age, type of endometrial hyperplasia, fertility requirements, etc.

This article introduces us in detail the treatment methods and causes of endometrial hyperplasia. We hope that patients can analyze their own causes of the disease and choose the treatment methods introduced in the article. For endometrial hyperplasia, we should use drugs to control endometrial proliferation, because endometrial hyperplasia may cause problems such as inflammation of the endometrium.
