The artificial synthetic aromatic substances contained in some air cleaners can cause chronic toxicity to the nervous system, causing symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. Insecticides contain toxic substances such as pyrethrum. The resins used to kill flies and other flying insects are mostly treated with dichlorvos. These toxic substances can poison the nerves and induce cancer. Mixing different types of cleaning agents may lead to more serious consequences. It was reported that 19 people died from poisoning in Japan within 13 months, and 547 people were poisoned by contact with surfactants in the United States within 5 months.



5. Damage to the reproductive system

Hydrocarbons in detergents can cause ovarian dysfunction in women; chemical components such as alkyl sulfonates can be absorbed through the skin and mucous membranes. If pregnant women use it frequently, it may cause egg cell degeneration and egg death. In the process of studying infertility, scientists have discovered that infertility in many women is closely related to long-term use of detergents. In early pregnancy, certain chemicals in detergents may also pose a risk of causing fetal malformations.

Most bleaches contain a chemical called sodium hypochlorite, which is highly corrosive and releases irritating, toxic fumes that can damage the lungs and hair if overexposed.
