Delivery includes three stages, and each stage must be gone through. If you want to shorten the time and give birth faster, you must insist on proper exercise during pregnancy and walk more before delivery; relax, build confidence, don't be too nervous or afraid, you can listen to some relaxing songs; eat some food appropriately, replenish energy in time, and ensure labor, etc. 1. The correct way to have a baby The delivery process is from the onset of labor to the delivery of the fetus. This process is different for every mother, and the delivery process of the same mother is also different every time. The delivery process is divided into three stages. The first stage is from regular uterine contractions (two contractions in 10 minutes) to full cervical dilation. From the onset of labor to the cervix dilating 3 cm, it usually takes several hours, but may take longer. After the cervix is dilated to 3 cm, uterine contractions gradually become stronger, occurring about once every 3 minutes and lasting for 45 to 60 seconds. The descent of the fetal head accelerates and the expansion of the cervix accelerates until the cervix is fully dilated (10 cm). The second stage of labor is from full cervical dilation to delivery of the fetus. Some women have weak uterine contractions at this stage and need intravenous drip of oxytocin. This stage should not exceed 2 hours. After the cervix is fully dilated, you will feel the urge to defecate. At this time, you should go to the delivery room to prepare for delivery. As the contractions come, you will start to hold your breath and push. The fetus will gradually descend. When the fetal head can be seen at the vaginal opening during contractions, block anesthesia will be performed to relax the perineum and relieve pain to promote delivery. If the fetal head is difficult or blocked from descending, the doctor will end the delivery by assisted delivery or cesarean section depending on the situation. When the cervix is fully dilated, the mother can push. At this time, she needs to cooperate with the contractions and consciously apply abdominal pressure. This kind of abdominal pressure is called "pushing." For first-time mothers, the time from full dilation of the uterus to delivery of the fetus generally does not exceed 2 hours. From this we can see that whether or not you can use force and exert your strength is very important to a smooth delivery. Steps to exert force: Lie on your back, grab the pillow or bedpost with both hands, and exert force when the contraction reaches its peak; take a deep breath while lying on your back, and after inhaling the air into your chest, hold it temporarily, and then exert force in the direction of your anus as if you were having a bowel movement; when you can no longer hold your breath, start to exhale, and then immediately inhale and exert force again. During childbirth, you should follow the instructions of the doctor and nurse and alternate between pushing and relaxing. Push when the uterus contracts, about 10 seconds at a time. If the contractions continue, continue to inhale and push. When the contraction stops, relax your whole body and take a short rest. As long as you rest properly, you will be able to exert more force. In other words, if you exert force at the right time, you can reduce the pain. Therefore, the force should be exerted in conjunction with the pain. During the interval, the fetus can get a lot of oxygen and store energy. Therefore, the mother should try to relax as much as possible at this time, and the more relaxed the better. The third stage of labor is from the delivery of the fetus to the delivery of the placenta, which usually only takes a few minutes and cannot exceed 30 minutes. After the fetus is delivered, the doctor will give drugs to promote uterine contractions (such as oxytocin) to promote uterine contractions. If there is excessive bleeding or retained placenta (the placenta has not been detached from the uterine wall within 30 minutes), the placenta will need to be removed manually. Uterine contraction is very important in the entire delivery process. Abnormal uterine contraction can lead to labor arrest and postpartum hemorrhage. After the third stage of labor, constantly massaging the uterus with your hands can help promote uterine contractions and reduce bleeding. How to avoid prolonged labor 1. Pay attention to prenatal examinations to reduce the incidence of delivery accidents. 2. Keep exercising properly during pregnancy and walk more before delivery. 3. Relax, build confidence, don’t be too nervous or afraid, and listen to some relaxing songs. 4. Family members should stay with the mother more often, give her more encouragement, and tell some jokes. 5. Follow the medical staff's instructions on how to use force, be patient if you can, and don't shout loudly; take deep breaths when the contractions are mild, and use force when they are severe. 6. Eat some appropriate food to replenish energy in time and ensure productivity. |
