Can I eat molasses during menstruation?

Molasses is actually a kind of sugar. It is a by-product of the sugar industry. Generally, we see more beet molasses, sugarcane molasses, and glucose molasses in our daily lives. Tangmi actually contains nutrients that are beneficial to our health. If consumed properly, it is good for health. Can women who are menstruating eat Tangmi? Let's find out now.

In fact, there is no need to supplement excessive sugar during menstruation, because it will not bring much health benefits to your body. What you should focus on is the supplement of some protein and various nutrients. Although you can eat molasses during menstruation, don't eat too much.

Molasses is a by-product of the sugar industry. It is a viscous, dark brown, semi-fluid substance. Its composition varies depending on the sugar raw materials and processing conditions. It mainly contains a large amount of fermentable sugar (mainly sucrose), so it is a good fermentation raw material. It can be used as a substrate or base material for fermentation products such as yeast, monosodium glutamate, organic acid, etc. It can be used as a raw material for certain foods and animal feed.

The molasses with larger production volumes include beet molasses, cane molasses, grape molasses, and corn molasses; the smaller production volumes include invert molasses and refined molasses.

Nutritional properties

Molasses contains a small amount of crude protein, generally 3%~6%, most of which belongs to non-protein nitrogen, such as ammonia, amide and nitrate, while amino acid nitrogen only accounts for 38%~50%, and the content of non-essential amino acids such as aspartic acid and glutamic acid is relatively high. Therefore, the biological value of protein is low, but aspartic acid and glutamic acid are both flavor amino acids, so using them in animal feed can greatly stimulate the appetite of animals.

The main component of molasses is sugar. Sugarcane molasses contains about 24% to 36% sucrose, and other sugars contain about 12% to 24%. The sugar contained in beet molasses is almost entirely sucrose, about 47%. In addition, it also contains 3% to 4% of soluble colloids, mainly xylan, arabic gum and pectin.

We all know that whether you are a diabetic or a normal person, you should not eat too much high-sugar food. No matter what kind of sugar it is, if you eat too much, it will have an adverse effect on your health. So through understanding we can determine that even if women during menstruation can eat molasses, they cannot eat too much.
