The whole process from vaginitis to cervical cancer

The whole process from vaginitis to cervical cancer

The first point is to do a good examination: Generally speaking, uterine fibroids have no obvious symptoms (or no symptoms) in the early stages, and only after they grow to a certain size can they be felt from physical changes. There are five symptoms that can be felt.

1. Excessive leucorrhea

Almost all gynecological diseases are related to excessive leucorrhea, and the same is true for uterine fibroids, because it can cause pelvic congestion and infection, which in turn leads to increased vaginal discharge, which when mixed with regular leucorrhea becomes increased secretion. At this time, the leucorrhea is mostly purulent and accompanied by a fishy smell.

2. Dysmenorrhea

Uterine fibroids can compress nerves, stimulate uterine contractions, and are easily complicated by endometriosis. Therefore, women with uterine fibroids will most likely experience dysmenorrhea.

3. Excessive menstrual bleeding

This symptom often occurs during the growth of uterine fibroids. As the fibroids continue to grow, the size of the uterus will also increase accordingly, thereby disrupting the normal physiological function of the uterus. Because the growth of the tumor affects the uterus's own hemostatic function during the menstrual period, patients with uterine fibroids often experience symptoms such as excessive menstrual bleeding, irregular bleeding, and prolonged (or shortened) menstruation.

4. Lower abdominal mass

As uterine fibroids grow, patients can feel the lump by themselves, especially in the morning before getting up to urinate. This is because the bladder is full and the uterus moves upward, making it easier to feel the fibroids. This feeling becomes more obvious as the fibroids grow.

5. Feeling of oppression

As uterine fibroids grow larger, they will inevitably compress the bladder, rectum, and peripheral nerves. Therefore, patients will experience symptoms such as lumbar pain, constipation, and frequent urination.

Although this method is simple and easy, some gynecological diseases have similar symptoms, so it is easy to confuse them when distinguishing them. Observing symptoms should not be used as the main prevention method.

B-ultrasound examination has high reliability

At present, B-ultrasound examination of uterine fibroids is relatively common in China, with an accuracy rate of up to 93.1%. It can show the shape of the uterus, the number, location, and size of fibroids, whether the fibroids are uniform or liquefied and cystic, and whether there is any compression of other organs around them. Despite this, there is a risk of missed diagnosis for very small and asymptomatic fibroids. Misdiagnosis is more likely to occur if the fibroids are complicated by pregnancy, adenomyosis, or cystic changes and adnexitis in the fibroids. The general misdiagnosis rate is about 6%. Therefore, when the results of B-ultrasound examination are not completely reliable, it is best to use other means to assist in diagnosis.

Most suitable for gynecological examination

Women who care about their health usually have a physical examination once a year. During the examination, no matter if there is any minor problem in any part of the body, it will not escape the doctor's eyes, not to mention obvious uterine diseases such as uterine fibroids. If you have uterine fibroids, then during a gynecological examination, the uterus will appear irregularly or evenly enlarged and hard. Subserosal fibroids touch the surface of the uterus and there are nodular protrusions. When the mass is pushed, the cervix moves with it. If the submucosal fibroid protrudes from the cervical opening, the tumor can be touched or seen. If the fibroid is small, the deformed or protruding mass in the uterine cavity can be touched by probing or scraping the uterine cavity!

Second, pay attention to your diet

The formation of uterine fibroids is related to long-term and excessive estrogen stimulation. Animal experiments have shown that high-fat foods promote the production and release of certain hormones, so the incidence of uterine fibroids in obese women is significantly increased. Therefore, developing good eating habits can have a certain inhibitory effect on uterine fibroids.

〈1〉Eat at regular times and in regular amounts, and avoid overeating.

〈2〉Adhere to a low-fat diet and eat more lean meat, eggs, green vegetables, fruits, etc.

〈3〉Eat more whole grains such as corn, beans, etc.

〈4〉Eat nutritious dried fruits regularly, such as peanuts, sesame seeds, melon seeds, etc.

〈5〉Avoid spicy food, alcohol, frozen food, etc.

Diet for patients with uterine fibroids:

1. The diet should be light and avoid eating irritating foods such as mutton, shrimp, crab, eel, salted fish, and black fish.

2. Avoid spicy foods and drinks such as chili peppers, peppercorns, raw onions, raw garlic, and white wine.

3. Avoid eating foods that are hot, coagulant, or contain hormones, such as longan, red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, and royal jelly.

4. Eat more lean meat, chicken, eggs, quail eggs, crucian carp, turtle, white fish, cabbage, asparagus, celery, spinach, cucumber, winter melon, mushrooms, tofu, kelp, seaweed, fruits, etc.

The third point is to have a balanced life

Patients with uterine fibroids should pay attention to regulating their emotions in daily life, avoid getting angry or sad, and worrying too much. They should try their best to be content, have a cheerful and open-minded personality, and avoid excessive fatigue. In this way, the five internal organs will be harmonized, the qi will flow smoothly, and when the qi flows, the blood will be harmonious. When the qi and blood are harmonious, all diseases will not occur. In addition, patients should pay attention to moderation in sexual intercourse to prevent damage to kidney qi and aggravation of the condition. More attention should be paid to sexual hygiene and keeping the vulva clean to prevent external pathogens from invading the body, turning into heat, stagnating qi and blood, and aggravating the condition.
