Gynecological diseases always accompany women throughout their lives. There are many causes of gynecological diseases, among which women’s incorrect care habits and wrong cognition also account for a certain proportion. To do a good job in disease prevention, we must first clarify some issues. 1. Is it necessary to wash the vagina? Answer: It is necessary to clean the vulva every day, especially during menstruation. Use warm water to clean the vulva properly to prevent external pathogens from entering the vagina. Do not flush the vagina unless necessary. There is no need to use gynecological wash to maintain the natural defense line of the female reproductive tract and not destroy the acid-base balance in the vagina. You will need your own special washing basin and special towels. Cleaning utensils should be washed before use, and towels should be dried in the sun or in a ventilated place after use. It is best to expose them to the sun to facilitate sterilization and disinfection. 2. Is it okay to use shower gel to clean private parts? When taking a shower with shower gel, many women also use it to clean the vulva skin (labia majora and minora), which may make the delicate skin of the vulva more fragile and dry. Shower gel is alkaline, with a pH value as high as 8 (the higher the number, the stronger the alkalinity). Long-term use will destroy the acidity and alkalinity of the vagina, preventing the growth of beneficial bacteria. Moreover, if this alkaline liquid is not rinsed thoroughly, it may cause vulvar itching. The vulva should be rinsed with clean water. If you use shower gel, do not leave it on for too long and rinse it thoroughly with plenty of clean water. In addition, if the genitals already have redness, swelling, or itching symptoms, when showering, avoid using soap or irritating bath products containing fragrance ingredients, and do not use overheated hot water to avoid aggravating the symptoms of redness, swelling, or itching. 3. Will excessive use of antibiotics induce private diseases? Certain components in antibiotics are particularly sensitive to certain bacteria in the genitals, and thus may disrupt the balance of bacterial flora in the body. A survey in the United States showed that nearly half of women developed yeast infections after using a strong antibiotic for more than a week. In addition, hormonal changes in pregnant women lead to increased vaginal acidity, and women in menopause have decreased resistance and thinning of the vaginal mucosa, all of which make them more susceptible to vaginal diseases. These people can only maintain daily private hygiene, paying special attention to the condition of the vagina. If itching or abnormal leucorrhea occurs, they need to go to the hospital for examination. 4. Is it easier to suffer from gynecological diseases if you always stay up late? Everyone's body is maintained by an invisible balance system, especially women. If you live a "reversed day and night" life for a long time, it will disrupt the body's life rhythm, neuroendocrine system dysfunction, estrogen and progesterone imbalance, which may lead to the occurrence of uterine fibroids, endometrial cancer, and breast cancer. If the skin on your face suddenly develops a lot of yellow spots and pigmentation, no matter how much high-end cosmetics you apply, it will be of no help. You should be alert to endocrine disorders. 5. Can stress cause pelvic inflammatory disease? Answer: High stress will not directly lead to pelvic inflammatory disease, but high stress, lack of exercise, and sitting for long periods of time can cause poor blood return to the pelvis and chronic pelvic congestion. Combined with weak resistance and bacterial infection, this can lead to chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. 6. Can irregular menstruation be considered a safe period? Answer: It is difficult to calculate the safe period for people with irregular menstruation, because the ovulation date is about 14 days before the next menstruation. If the menstruation is irregular, it is difficult to calculate the ovulation period, and it is also difficult to calculate the safe period. 7. Does regular menstruation mean endocrine disorders? Answer: Sex hormone levels are affected by the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and ovaries. The hypothalamus is the "supreme headquarters" that releases a certain amount of hormones to issue instructions to the subordinates (pituitary gland). The pituitary gland also sends signals to regulate the subordinate glands. For the ovaries, this signal is the follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone secreted by the pituitary gland, and prolactin is also produced during lactation. These hormones act on some organs, causing corresponding changes. If these regulatory mechanisms are out of balance, a series of manifestations will occur, which are called endocrine disorders. Regular menstruation only means that some of the regulatory mechanisms are normal, but it does not mean that there is no endocrine disorder. Generally speaking, the manifestations of normal female endocrine system include: normal menstrual cycle and volume, normal body hair and weight, smooth skin without obvious dark spots, normal breasts, normal pregnancy, stable personality, etc. |
