Don't do these 5 things during your menstrual period when you're trying to conceive

For young couples who are actively trying to have a baby, every aspect of life needs special attention. Especially women, in order to provide the fetus with a healthy living environment, must take good care of themselves. Menstrual care is also closely related to pregnancy. Here are 5 things you should never do during your menstrual period!

1. Wash your lower body with cleaning fluid

It is common and normal to have bad odor in your private parts during your period. Women often use cleaning liquid or shower gel to clean, but this method is actually not scientific. Generally speaking, the vaginal environment is acidic to prevent the growth of bacteria. During the menstrual period, the internal environment of the vagina will tend to be alkaline, and the ability to resist bacteria will decrease. At this time, using alkaline shower gel or cleaning liquid to clean will only make the lower body more vulnerable to bacterial damage, cause gynecological diseases, and hinder pregnancy. It is recommended that you only need to wash the vulva with warm water twice a day during menstruation, without frequent washing.

2. Have sex

When the menstruation is about to end, some women will have a stronger sexual desire as their hormones surge, and they think they can have sex with their husbands at this time. This idea is actually very irresponsible. Even in the last stage of menstruation, having sex at this time can easily allow bacteria to enter the body, which will not only disturb the endometrium, but also damage the fallopian tubes and pelvic cavity, inducing endometriosis. If you suffer from this disease, it is not easy to get pregnant successfully or give birth to a healthy baby!

3. Eating fried foods

Fried foods look tempting and taste delicious, but you should stay away from them during menstruation! This is because women's skin is very sensitive during menstruation and tends to secrete more sebum, becoming more oily, and capillaries also dilate. Eating fried foods at this time will only irritate the skin and cause annoying acne. From the perspective of pregnancy preparation, eating fried foods is not good for the body's conditioning. You should ensure a light diet and eat more foods rich in iron. This can replenish the iron lost through menstrual blood and prepare for the arrival of the baby.

4. Beat your waist and back

Before or during menstruation, many women feel back pain and will relieve the discomfort by beating their waist. However, there is a reason for this back pain. Only when the uterus contracts more strongly can menstrual blood be discharged smoothly from the cervix. If you beat your waist, it will only cause pelvic congestion, increase menstrual flow, prolong menstrual period, and even be detrimental to the healing of the endometrium after exfoliation, and induce gynecological inflammation.

5. Do a pre-pregnancy check

Before having a baby, many young couples know that they have to do a pre-pregnancy check, but this kind of check is not suitable to be done during the menstrual period. It is recommended that you have a check-up 3-6 months before pregnancy and not have sexual intercourse 2 days before the check-up. It is more accurate for women to test 3-7 days after the end of their menstrual period. Firstly, hormone secretion during menstruation is different from before, which can easily affect the number of platelets, making it difficult to obtain real data. Secondly, the examination items include urine test, blood draw, B-ultrasound, etc., which may easily cause infection to the body that is sensitive during menstruation.
