Is fungal vaginitis serious?

As people's living standards continue to improve, while pursuing material enjoyment, they are now more concerned with health preservation. Because there are so many factors that induce human illness, and with the improvement of people's economic level, people have more ability to pursue health preservation, make themselves healthier, and resist the invasion of diseases. In fact, there are many kinds of diseases that are easy to occur in human body in our life. Let’s talk about the disease of candidal vaginitis.

The so-called candidal vaginitis refers to an inflammation of the human genitals caused by invasion of viruses, bacteria or other substances, which is more common in women. Common among women are candidal vulvitis and candidal vaginitis. So if you suffer from candidal vaginitis, are the consequences serious?

Research by medical experts has shown that suffering from candidal vaginitis is not particularly serious and is a very common disease. During treatment, change into clean underwear frequently and keep it dry. Vaginitis candidiasis is an inflammation of the vulva caused by a type of yeast. The most common pathogen is Candida albicans.

The clinical manifestations of fungal vaginitis are as follows:

1. Burning sensation;

2. Itching, vulva and vaginal itching;

3. Painful urination (complication of urethritis), especially during urination, and may also be accompanied by frequent urination and painful urination;

3. Pain during sexual intercourse;

4. Redness and edema often occur around the vulva;

5. Epidermitis: shallow vesicular papules may occur in groups; eczematous erosions may also occur, which may be confined to the vulva or extend to the perineum, around the anus, and around the femoral genital folds, and even to the inner thighs. The appearance is completely similar to acute or subacute eczema, with thickening of the mucous membrane between the labia and near the clitoris, and flushing and erosion of the skin surfaces that contact each other. Some cases may cause tiny white pustules, and in severe cases, ulcers may occur, pain in the affected area, and inflammation of the local lymph nodes.

The following are some tips on the treatment of fungal vaginitis:

1. Rinse the vulva

Rinse with 2-3% soda solution, gently dry, place nystatin suppository deep in the vagina, or apply nystatin cream on the vaginal wall, once a night or once in the morning and evening for 10-14 days. About 50-80% of patients can be cured by the above treatment; 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution for sitting bath, apply 2% gentian violet solution topically.

2. Promote vaginal epithelial regeneration

A small amount of estrogen (ethylstilbestrol) can be used.

3. Relapse cases

In recurrent cases, digestive tract carriage should be considered, and nystatin can be taken 4 times a day at the same time.

If any friend accidentally suffers from candidal vaginitis in daily life, the first thing to do is not to panic. You should know that this disease is very common and can be cured, so you should go to the hospital for treatment in time and do not be afraid to see a doctor. While receiving treatment under the doctor's instructions, it is recommended to wear more cotton underwear, because that will reduce the growth of mold, and the underwear should be changed and washed frequently. It is best to disinfect and sterilize after washing. Only in this way can we recover health as soon as possible.
