T1/2 is 7~7.8 hours. 60~80% of metronidazole suppositories are excreted through the kidneys, about 20% of the parent drug is excreted from the urine, and the rest is excreted from the urine in the form of metabolites (25% are glucuronic acid conjugates and 14% are other metabolic conjugates). 10% is excreted in feces. 14% is metabolized from the skin.
