Many people are not very clear about the safe period issue, and when they have such problems, they don’t know what to do. So when is the safe period? The following is a detailed introduction so that everyone can have a good understanding.

When is the safe period?

From the perspective of contraception, each menstrual cycle of a woman can be divided into the menstrual period, ovulation period and safe period. Generally speaking, the ovaries of women of normal childbearing age release only one egg per month. The egg can survive 1 to 2 days after being released, and the sperm can survive 2 to 3 days in the female reproductive tract. The fertilization ability is mostly within 24 hours after ovulation. After 2 to 3 days, the sperm loses the ability to combine with the egg. Therefore, if you have sexual intercourse 2 to 3 days before ovulation and 1 to 2 days after ovulation, you may get pregnant. This period is called the fertile period or the dangerous period.

A woman's ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days, the ovulation period. The rest of the time except the menstrual period is called the safe period. The safe period is divided into the safe period before ovulation and the safe period after ovulation. The period from the end of menstruation to the day before ovulation is the safe period before ovulation. From the first day after the end of ovulation to the day before the next menstrual cramps is the safe period after ovulation. The safe period after ovulation is safer than the safe period before ovulation.

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of when the safe period is. However, it should be noted that women need to protect themselves well in all aspects after pregnancy, otherwise it is easy to cause some diseases. Attention should be paid to this point.
