Can my husband eat colostrum during pregnancy?

Of course, the husband can drink colostrum, because it is rich in nutrients, but some friends may not be able to stand the taste. It is definitely drinkable, but it is best to let the baby learn to suck breast milk by himself. After all, the baby needs nutrients the most, so that the baby will be born faster and stronger.

Some friends choose to use a manual breast pump to extract the milk first, and then save it for their babies to drink. With the help of the manual breast pump, when the baby sucks the bottle nipple, milk will definitely be secreted, and this channel is smooth and will not be blocked again, so the baby can drink it easily.

Also, mothers don't need to feel too much pain when breastfeeding. Some mothers feel scared when they see their babies sucking their breasts to drink breast milk, and they don't want to feed them. In fact, breast milk is the best, and the nutrients in it are stronger than any brand of dairy products. Therefore, mothers are recommended to insist on breastfeeding until about one year old.

The first few months of pregnancy during which colostrum is produced varies from woman to woman. Most pregnant women will have a small amount of light yellow, thinner liquid secreted by squeezing their breasts in the late stages of pregnancy, that is, after 28 weeks of pregnancy, especially when they are close to delivery. This is called colostrum. During pregnancy, the mammary glands develop sufficiently to prepare for milk secretion, but no milk is secreted. This is mainly because a large amount of estrogen and progesterone during pregnancy inhibit the production of milk. After the embryo is delivered, the levels of estrogen and progesterone drop rapidly, and milk begins to be secreted when the newborn sucks the nipple. Although squeezing the breasts during pregnancy can secrete milk, it is not recommended for pregnant women to stimulate the nipples frequently. Nipple stimulation can produce endogenous oxytocin and lead to premature birth.
