What are the symptoms of breast abscess?

What are the symptoms of breast abscess?

Mastitis is a disease with a relatively high incidence rate in women who are breastfeeding or pregnant. Mastitis is generally divided into three aspects. One is purulent mastitis, one is a relatively simple sudden mastitis, and the other is the abscess formation stage of mastitis. If a woman develops purulent mastitis, it is a more serious period. What are the symptoms of breast suppuration?

Purulent mastitis causes obvious redness, swelling and lumps around the breast. Patients with severe suppurative mastitis may also experience generalized muscle weakness, persistent high fever and symptoms similar to poisoning. At this time, patients with mastitis are advised to go to the hospital for drainage to draw out the pus.

The development of mastitis:

Generally speaking, when mastitis occurs, the first thing that appears is a lump that feels hard and painful to the touch; then the area begins to turn red, followed by a fever and a flushed face (like the early symptoms of a cold); after a few days, the fever symptoms suddenly subside, but the area is not as hard as before and feels a little soft, but this softness is not the softness of normal skin, but a feeling of collapse when pressed (this is the last chance before surgery). Going further back, it becomes very soft and white pus comes out. At this time, the pus penetrates the skin and the pus inside needs to be discharged (surgery is required for drainage).

Therefore, once you find symptoms of mastitis, do not delay. If it develops to a serious suppurative stage, you can only perform puncture or surgery to drain it, and the pain will be doubled at that time.

1. Symptoms of suppurative mastitis during non-lactation period

The symptoms of this non-lactation suppurative mastitis are different from those of ordinary mastitis. In addition to causing lumps in the affected area of the patient and causing discomfort to the patient, it is also accompanied by suppuration. For some patients, due to secretory dysfunction, they may also develop other diseases in the body.

2. Causes of non-lactation suppurative mastitis

The causes of non-lactation suppurative mastitis can be determined at present, and the following factors are roughly related. One is caused by endocrine disorders. Patients suffer from endocrine disorders due to excessive mental stress or other reasons, which leads to this disease. The other is caused by trauma. The patient's affected part is traumatized and invaded by pathogenic bacteria, which causes the disease.

3. Treatment of non-lactation suppurative mastitis

There are many methods that people can use to treat this disease. Since the patient is in the non-breastfeeding period, she can be treated with external application and oral anti-inflammatory drugs. In addition, there are some hospitals that can perform treatment through minimally invasive surgery.
