How to prevent pregnancy after sex

How to prevent pregnancy after sex

Nowadays, young people have more open-minded ideas, and it is quite common to have sex before marriage. But most women do not want to get pregnant before marriage, so they will try every possible way to prevent pregnancy before getting married. So how can you take contraceptive measures after having sex?

Many couples do not take proper contraceptive measures before having sex and then worry about getting pregnant. If you want to avoid pregnancy after having sex, you can take birth control pills. Contraceptive pills are hormonal drugs that can prevent sperm and egg fusion and thus have the effect of contraception. Contraceptive pills must be taken within 72 hours of intercourse. The contraceptive effectiveness rate of contraceptive pills is over 90%. The sooner they are taken, the better the contraceptive effect.

Although birth control pills are quite effective, they also have significant side effects on the human body. If women take too much, they are prone to menstrual disorders and may also cause infertility. Therefore, they should not be taken frequently, and the frequency of taking them should not exceed twice a year.

If you accidentally get pregnant during sex and don't want to give birth, you will have a miscarriage. The common abortion methods nowadays include medical abortion and surgical abortion. You can choose the abortion method according to your own condition and the number of days of pregnancy. Medical abortion is suitable within 49 days of pregnancy, and surgical abortion is suitable between 40-60 days of pregnancy. No matter which method of abortion is used, it will have a certain impact on women's body. For health reasons, if you don't want to get pregnant, you need to take good contraceptive measures.

Harm of birth control pills

The birth control pill is different from the basic short-term birth control pill. It is composed of estrogen and is taken after not taking any contraceptive measures or accidentally becoming pregnant. It is suitable for people who have unexpected sexual activities. Women may experience discomfort symptoms after taking the medicine, such as the side effects of the medicine. So what are the side effects of birth control pills? You should have known the harm it causes.

First, after taking the medicine, women may experience nausea and retching. If the symptoms reappear within 1 hour, the woman needs to take the medicine again and wait for 2 days, and the symptoms will be relieved. If you take the medicine after a meal or before going to bed, symptoms may occur, and the situation is different for different people.

Secondly, women’s menstrual period and ovulation period are affected. Some women have experienced delayed or extended menstruation, which is one of the side effects warned of in the drug instructions. If menstruation is irregular and ovulation period changes, there is a risk of infertility.

Secondly, some women experience abnormal uterine bleeding. If it is just a small amount of bleeding, don't worry too much, it will subside in about 2 days. If there is a lot of bleeding, you need to go to the hospital for a detailed examination.

Finally, various discomforts may occur after taking the medicine. If you feel dizzy or have a headache, don't be surprised, it's a side effect of the birth control pill. Or if you feel weakness in your limbs or pain in your breasts, the same is true. The symptoms will improve after 2 days. If they persist for a long time, you should see a doctor.
