The difference between cervical tct and hpv

Nowadays, with the development and progress of society, many people have begun to pay more and more attention to health issues. In addition to daily health care, many people have gradually developed a good habit of doing regular physical examinations every year. For women, every routine physical examination is to check TCT and HPV, but many female friends are not clear about the difference between the two. For the sake of our own health, we still need to know more about the differences between TCT and HPV tests.

Both TCT and HPV are minimally invasive tests. Professional medical staff use a special soft brush to collect cervical secretions, collect the specimens and place them in special cell culture medium for TCT testing. Specimen collection can also be used for HPV-DNA testing and analysis. However, TCT regular examination and HPV test are two different tests in cervical cancer screening!

TCT examination: It is a re-examination of cells from the cervix and endocervical canal for cytological classification and diagnosis. It is a very effective cervical tumor cytology examination technology in today's medicine. The detection rate of TCT cervical cancer screening for cervical tumor cells can reach 100%, and it can promptly detect precancerous changes and microbial infections.

HPV testing: It is to obtain mucus and secretions of the patient's diseased tissue and local tissue for HPV-DNA testing. If the subject's body is continuously infected with high-risk HPV, it may eventually lead to cervical cancer. If it is a simple HPV infection, no special treatment is needed, because 70-90% of HPV infections can be cured by the patient's own immune ability. If there are also abnormal changes in the cervix, a cervical biopsy under colposcopy is required, and then the appropriate treatment plan is selected based on the test results.

The above are the differences between TCT and HPV testing. In short, these two examination items are essentially different and are effective tests for different symptoms. Therefore, these two tests are very necessary items in routine physical examinations. In addition to basic routine physical examinations, you should also pay attention to your own physical hygiene in your daily life, exercise regularly, do more outdoor activities, improve your physical fitness, and enhance your own resistance.
