Why do I have breast pain?

In daily life, if there is a problem with the breast, everyone will feel very worried, because normal women hope to have a pair of healthy breasts, because every woman's breasts are also creating her own baby, so when the breasts are swollen and painful, women are also very worried. So what is the cause of breast pain?

Causes of Breast Pain

1. Breast pain during puberty: The first type of breast pain usually occurs in women between the ages of 9 and 13. After the first menstruation, the swelling and pain will subside on its own.

2. Breast pain during early menstruation: Many women suffer from breast pain during early menstruation. In severe cases, the breasts will swell and feel uncomfortable when subjected to slight vibration or impact. The main reason is that the level of estrogen in the body increases before menstruation, which causes the formation of interbreast tissue. This type of breast pain will gradually subside after menstruation comes.

3. Breast pain during pregnancy: During pregnancy, the embryo and hair secrete a large amount of female hormones, estrogen and prolactin, which causes the mammary glands to enlarge and cause breast pain. In severe cases, it may last throughout the entire pregnancy. This type of breast pain is also normal and does not require treatment.

4. Breast pain after childbirth: Breast pain after childbirth is caused by mammary lymph node retention, venous congestion, interstitial edema and obstruction of mammary gland ducts. It usually occurs 3 to 7 days after childbirth.

5. Breast pain after artificial insemination: If the pregnancy is terminated suddenly, it will also cause breast pain. Because the estrogen in the body drops sharply, the newly developed breasts suddenly stop growing, causing breast lumps and breast pain.

6. Breast pain during sex: Some women also experience breast pain after sexual intercourse. This is mainly related to the physiological changes in the breasts during sex. Women do not need to worry about breast pain in this situation. If the pain does not subside for a long time, or even becomes more severe, or if you find a lump with uneven edges, unclear edges, and poor mobility when touching the breast, you should seek medical treatment as soon as possible. Breast pain in women is not a trivial matter. If you encounter such a situation, in addition to normal reasons that do not require treatment, it may be caused by disease and you must go to the hospital for treatment. For example, if you feel pain when wearing or touching it, it is psychological distortion and you need to seek medical treatment in time.
