1. Varicose veins caused

In the second half of pregnancy, the blood volume in the pelvis will increase significantly, and the enlarged uterus will compress the inferior vena cava, and the body's estrogen level will increase. These factors will increase the pressure of the inferior vena cava, obstruct blood flow, cause the venous wall to expand and distort, form varicose veins, and then cause edema. This phenomenon is more common in the private parts and lower limbs. If the mother feels obvious discomfort, she can rest in bed for a while. Generally, the swelling will disappear after delivery. However, if in addition to swelling of the vulva, there are also symptoms such as itching and abnormal leucorrhea, it may be caused by inflammation, and the mother needs to go to the hospital for treatment in time.

2. Cleaning of potassium permanganate solution

Because it is in a special period, it is not recommended to take medicine for vulvar swelling. You can clean it with potassium permanganate solution or baking soda before going to bed every night, and then apply hot compress for about 10 minutes. Usually, you should pay attention to changing your underwear frequently, and try to choose loose and breathable cotton underwear.

3. Prevent standing for a long time

In the second half of pregnancy, the mother should apply to her unit to reduce the workload, especially for positions that require long-term standing, such as service workers. When sitting on a chair or sofa, do not cross your legs or cross your legs to avoid blocking venous return. When sleeping at night, the mother can raise her legs a little higher to prevent her private parts from being compressed. If you choose to sleep on your side, in order to relieve the discomfort in your private parts, it is best to put a pillow between your legs.
