What is the reason for not having menstruation?

What to do if menstruation does not come at 48 years old

It may be due to ovarian decline, hormone metabolism disorder, and thus lead to menstrual cycle disorder, most of which are normal. If the main symptoms are short-term delayed menstruation, excessive hyperplasia of the uterine wall, menorrhagia, and persistent bleeding, curettage or taking sex hormones to promote blood circulation is required. The most common cause of delayed menstruation is anovulatory menstrual disorders caused by the imperfect regulation of the thalamus-pituitary-uterine-ovarian axis. Its characteristics are infrequent menstruation, sudden irregular menorrhagia and prolonged menstruation after a short period of amenorrhea. The symptoms will gradually improve with the increase of age and the completion of the gonadal axis development, but serious symptoms still require treatment. The following factors are common.

1. Polycystic ovary syndrome. The main symptoms are delayed menstruation, or amenorrhea in severe cases, and are often accompanied by obesity, infertility, excessive hair growth and other symptoms. You should go to the hospital for B-ultrasound and hormone measurement. After the diagnosis is confirmed, you should use medication or surgery to treat it.

2. Malnutrition, overwork, stress, anxiety, depression and other factors can cause endocrine imbalance and affect menarche. Through rest, improved nutrition, psychological guidance, self-relaxation and other treatments, menstruation can gradually recover.

3. Influence of drugs: Some common central nervous system decelerators and hormones in clinical medicine may also delay menstruation. Be careful to stop using drugs appropriately.

4. Long-term exposure to harmful radiation, chemotherapy drugs, etc. may also cause premature ovarian failure and delayed menstruation.
