Is the low position of the fetus a boy or a girl?

Fetal gender identification has always been a focus of everyone's attention. Now that medicine can no longer reveal the gender of the fetus, many people will use other methods to determine the gender of the baby. So, does a low fetal position mean it’s a boy or a girl?

1. Is the low fetal position a boy or a girl?

The so-called fetal position, in simple terms, is the position of the fetus in the uterus. The posture of the fetus in the womb before birth is very important, which is related to whether the pregnant woman chooses a normal birth or a difficult birth. Generally speaking, the fetal position can only be determined in the late pregnancy. Generally, the fetal position will gradually decrease before entering the pelvis. Everyone's situation is different, and the size and height of the abdomen during pregnancy are all different. Therefore, it is very unreliable to determine the sex of the fetus based on this.

The posture of the fetus in the womb before birth is very important, which is related to whether the pregnant woman chooses a normal birth or a difficult birth. We know that the fetus in the uterus is immersed in the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman. Because the head of the fetus is heavier than the body, the fetus is mostly in the position of head down and buttocks up. The normal fetal position should be that the fetal head is flexed with the occipital bone in front. During delivery, the head is first extended into the pelvis, which is medically called "head presentation". There is no scientific research to prove that the boy or girl can be determined by the height of the fetal position. These are all inaccurate. I hope everyone can only use it as a reference.

2. Factors that determine the baby's gender

There are 23 pairs (46) of sex chromosomes in the cytoplasm of normal human germ cells. Among them, 22 pairs (44 chromosomes) are autosomes, which are irrelevant to gender and determine the inheritance of other genes. Only one pair of chromosomes determines gender. Chromosomes are divided into two types: X chromosomes and Y chromosomes. The pair of chromosomes in male reproductive cells are x and y, that is, xy type; the pair of chromosomes in female reproductive cells are both x, that is, xx type.

The total number of sex chromosomes contained in somatic sperm and eggs is half that of germ cells, that is, 23 sex chromosomes. The egg cells produced by women can only have one type of chromosome, which is X. The sperm produced by men has two kinds of sex chromosomes, half of which are sperm with X chromosomes or sperm with Y chromosomes. When the sperm and egg with x chromosomes fuse, the chromosomes required for sperm and egg fusion become xx, which means a female fetus. When the sperm and egg with the Y sex chromosome fuse, the chromosome required for sperm and egg fusion is XY, which means a boy is conceived. One male ejaculation produces hundreds of millions of sperm. Whether the sperm with x or y sex chromosomes fuses with the egg is completely accidental and is not controlled by the male's will, nor is it the female's fault. Neither party can complain about the birth of a boy or a girl.

In summary, there is no scientific evidence to prove whether a low fetal position is a boy or a girl, so there is no accurate basis. Nowadays, it doesn’t matter whether you have a boy or a girl, so parents need to have the right mindset.
