HPV58 positive will disappear on its own

Clinical epidemiological surveys have shown that the causes of cervical precancerous lesions (CIN) and cervical cancer are the same, and are related to factors such as human papillomavirus infection, multiple sexual partners, smoking, early sexual intercourse (<16 years old), reproductive tract infections, low economic development and immunosuppression. So will the HPV58 positive test disappear on its own?

Most HPV58-positive cases can be cured. The infection period is short and usually disappears on its own in 8 to 10 months. However, some women remain infected and their risk of cervical cancer increases. After HPV virus infection, most patients have no symptoms. Some patients will experience increased female secretions, odor, etc., which may cause cervical diseases, the most common of which are chronic cervicitis and cervical erosion.

Pay attention to daily hygiene, especially sexual hygiene, to prevent HPV infection. Women of appropriate age can be vaccinated with the cervical cancer vaccine, which can reduce the incidence of cervical cancer.

1. The HPV family is very large, and high-risk types need to be taken seriously

HPV is human papillomavirus vaccination (commonly known as HPV), a family with more than 100 subtypes. HPV (love) can infect the skin and mucous membranes of different parts of the body and cause different diseases. It is suitable for living in a humid and warm environment. The skin and mucous membranes of many parts of the body are present in both men and women, the most common being the oral cavity, throat, anus and genitals.

HPV is divided into high-risk and low-risk types. Persistent high-risk viral infection is the most important risk factor for cervical squamous cell carcinoma and precancerous lesions. Almost all (>99.9%) lesions are infected with high-risk viral infection.

The vast majority of oropharyngeal cancers (63%) and virtually all anal cancers are also associated with persistent infection with high-risk HPV. WHO has assessed 13 of them as having the greatest carcinogenic potential: types 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59 and 68.

2. Which type of HPV does cervical cancer prefer most?

HPV16 and 18 subtypes are more closely associated with the development of malignant tumors, causing more than 70% of cervical cancer, 80% of anal cancer, 60% of vaginal cancer, and 40% of vulvar cancer. HPV 45 and HPV 31 cause 5% and 10% of cervical cancers, respectively.

Low-risk viruses are pathogens that cause genital and perianal warts. HPV 6 and HPV 11 are associated with 90% of genital warts and 96% of genital warts, but they are not likely to cause lesions.

3. HPV infection does not equal cervical cancer! Because most of them will dissipate on their own!

After being infected with HPV, the vast majority (more than 95%) of reproductive system HPV infections are benign and can be eliminated by themselves, and only a small number of women will become persistently infected.

The vast majority (more than 80%) of HPV infections can be eliminated within a few months (usually 6-9 months, with an average of 8 months, and very few exceed a year), 87% of HPV infections can be eliminated within 12 months, and 95% of HPV infections can be eliminated within 2 years.

HPV analysis is the most important factor in determining whether the infection is persistent, and factors such as age and marital life have no significant impact. The infection course of different types of HPV is also different. High-risk virus infections appear to persist longer (negative correlation, 9.3 months) than low-risk HPV (negative correlation, 8.4 months). HPV16 is most likely to persist in infection (negative correlation 12.4 months), but the specific reason is still unclear, perhaps related to the body's immune system.
